Ok yes I agree the tachonis were trying to turn Occtis into a celestial. But it brings up the question as to why
Obviously it could be to simply have a weapon. But my brain is tickled by tanlus bringing up Dawn coming after the night in connection to him giving them the power to summon a celestial. Almost as if the two things were linked. I think summoning a celestial is a path to bringing back the gods. If he was worried about his brother killing him, it would make sense to set up a method for his own resurrection.
The tachonis were priest to the god of the sun. After he died they lost a great deal of power. It would make sense they’re also trying to bring back the gods or at least one. The god gave them power. They want that power back. Especially if that god would now be endeared to them.
