Lucifer is depicted here in his angelic form. But at the same time, Lilith is here in her classic purple dress, which she started wearing after she became a demon.

I've been seeing a lot of spooky month ocs that are possessed dolls of some kind, so I wanted to try my hand at it! the character definitely strayed from the initial concept, but I love how it came out!
“Frozen”, the tale of two sibling princesses trying to reconnect in an icy land, has taken in $865 million in worldwide box-office sales since its Nov. 22 release, becoming one of Disney’s biggest pictures, according to researcher Box Office Mojo. Now, Disney is looking forward to breaking $1 billion. Frozen is based on the original fairy tale “The Snow Queen” written by Andersen. From now on, I am going to talk about how “The Snow Queen” has been reborn as “Frozen”.
-The early design of The Snow Queen by Elena Ringo-
The fairy tale “The Snow Queen” was what Disney wanted to make into animation movie for a long time, but they struggled a lot for developing the characters more interestingly. Then, they finally found the solution when they brought “John Lasseter”. He helped Disney to create the lively characters as it is now. Here is the interesting history of they ended up deciding to make the animation film of “The Snow Queen”.
In 1943, Walt Disney and Samuel Goldwyn planed the joint project, which was to make the biopic of Hans Andersen and the films of his fairy tales. At that time, Walt Disney was supposed to make the animation sequences of “The Little Mermaid”, “The Little Match-Seller”, “The Brave Tin Soldier”, “The Snow Queen”, “Little Tiny or Thumbelina”, “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Red Shoes”, but they gave up producing all of them into films because of “The Snow Queen”. The producers from Walt Disney recognized that the story is interesting, but they failed to make the character attractive since the character of snow queen seemed to hard to bring out a bond of sympathy from the audience. Therefore, Disney decided to put off the project.
However, in the 1990s, animation industry enjoyed a golden age with the films ofLittle Mermaid, Aladdin, and Lion king. So, the forgotten project of “The Snow Queen” also came up to the surface. Producers and the storyboard artists suggested various versions of the story, however, they could not have the satisfactory one due to the characters again.
In 2008, the project became active after Chris buck submitted his adapted scenario to Disney. Plus, with the huge success of the animation film “Tangled”, Disney could expect the success of “The Snow Queen” as well. John Lasseter made this project promising by changing the whole story. He changed the villain "snow queen" to "Elsa". Plus, he also set up the main theme of the project as family love between two sisters. Accordingly, the title of the project was changed as well from “The Snow Queen” to “Frozen”. The changes turned out to be the best decision as we know.
What were the main elements contributing to the success of Frozen?
The artisan spirit pursuing complete reality
John Lasseter asked animators to visit the ice hotel in Quebec and observe the refraction of light on the snow and ice so that they could create as much real images as possible.
The remarkable ability about artistic presentation of characters
Animators usually work on various characters, however, Disney developed the new working system for animators. Disney animators are responsible for each character that is assigned for him/her to develop. So, one animator could study and understand one character deeply.
The grand background
The film director “Michael Giaimo” referred to the film titled Black Narcissus by the director “Jack Cardiff”. Based on the reference of the background of the canyon in Norway, he tried to add the three dimensional effect to the background of Frozen.
Easter Egg Parade
1) Rapunzel visited Elsa’s coronation
2) Mickey Mouse in the store
3) Chocolates from Wreck-It Ralph
To sum up, the decision of Disney to come back to their strengths, and make up for their weaknesses seems to be the best. Personally, I expect that we can have the new era of animation industry to be like the one we enjoyed in 1990s.
