Hello 👋 — yes, I draw the lines.
For illustrations not labeled as AI-generated, I draw with Procreate on the iPad (like the ones I'm working on now). I then use Krita to add a thick outline and apply a filter to a photo or screenshot to serve as the background for my drawings.
After finishing the lineart, I run it through Vector Magic Desktop Edition (a tool that converts images into vectors). I mainly use it to smooth the lines a bit—even if it's not strictly necessary—and to upscale some drawings before adding color.
