The Thunderhead Project: Recruitment
If you don't know about the Thunderhead Project and are a fan of the utterly amazing Celtic Thunder, it is searchable using the tag "The Thunderhead Project" here on Tumblr.
As this is such a large project, I have decided to recruit some additional help. I am hoping to get some teams together. Here's the breakdown:
Online Communication Team- spreads the word and passes on updates online through social media, fan sites, etc.
Street Communication Team- spreads the word the old-fashioned way: person-to-person. Talk to Thunderheads locally. Great for people who have a local network of Thunderheads and/or local fan clubs
Local Picture Collections Team- Gather pictures from local Thunderheads and send on to Regional Collections or Central Collections either by snail mail or e-mail
Regional Collections Team- Must have a scanner! Receive hard copies of pictures, scan and send on to Central Collections via e-mail.
Central Collections- That's me! I collect the pictures for assembly into the final collage!
Research and Creative Team- Research the best way to create and print the final collage. Also, writing possible messages and how to poll contributors on which message to use.
If you would like to join any of these teams, please contact me!
The Thunderhead Project: Update
So that you kind find them, all future posts on this subject will have "The Thunderhead Project" and "Celtic Thunder" as the first two tags.
If you want to be included, you can e-mail a signed picture of yourself to:
If you prefer you can send a hardcopy:
In the USA to:

I am still looking for people to collect pictures overseas. If want to help and don't have a scanner, you can collect photos and send them in larger packages to one of the addresses above.
If you have other Thunderhead friends nearby, feel free to mail all your photos in one envelope to save on postage.
The Thunderhead Project
As you can see, I named the project I proposed. For those of you who missed it the first time, I will go over my plan and thought process again.
My inspiration came from habit of collecting photos of the CT lads (mostly from various places on the net) to print out and make collages. I want to include at least one large photo of each of the lads in my next collage and have them sign it at the concert in the Fall. This sort of combined with idea of the books we put together for the boys and the video we made for Ryan. I want to make the boys a collage of "autographed" pictures of their fans!
I'd like to make a big, full-sized poster version for the bus and smaller, individual copies to send to their PO boxes.
I am envisioning signing pictures of us arranged around a central banner message. Maybe it could say something like: "Thunderheads: Always here for you." I'm really not clear on that part. You might have some good suggestions for the message. If you send them to me, maybe we can vote on which one we want to use. I think we should send one of the small ones to each of the former members (Daniel, Damian, and Paul), too.
I would also like to make one for Sharon, but with a slightly different message to say "Thank You" for all the work she does.
I'm thinking that the easiest way to make the collages would be digitally. Mostly because the same collage could be printed in both sizes and with the different messages. I've never really tried making collages that way, but I'm sure I can do it.
It's easier to sign hard-copies of photos than digital images. Lots of people probably don't have scanners to convert their hard copies to digital images. I was thinking that we could set up regional collection points. Everyone could send their hard copies to someone with a scanner and that person could scan all the photos and e-mail the images to me or whoever is making the collage. If you would like to be a regional collection centre let me know so I can post your address.
I would also like to find someone to deliver the large collage to the boys close to the beginning of their next North American tour, but that can be figured out later.
