A Ruby Heart

My own original poem about a girl I cannot seem to get over. It’s a little disjointed but that’s because I’m just bad at poetry

If you’d be with me like i think you should I’d see the things no other could With a nice body and a better head Her long locks flowing red If you’d be mine I’d be yours

Just know I’d fight for you Be your gladiator If I only knew you’d love me later But I can’t tell how you really feel I just see you keeping it real No regrets in you eyes All that you say it’s never lies

But after this don’t feel bad Give my heart a little cred For picking right till it bled From every one denial And boy did it make me feel vile To see what I did everyday Because of my bleeding

Not just you but everyone Poke little holes and let them run I don’t ever stop the flow I let it go and ruin myself Along with every girl I see Who ever tries to get close to me

Nowadays I can tell What I do ever since I fell I pick girls up and let them down Feel the power in their frown But I don’t like it Cause I feel like shit Making other feel take this hit

But how could I stop I’d be so lonely When the one I want Would never hold me So I keep on going free Looking for girls left and right

None are quiet like you My crazy little fireball Your fury made the giants fall My feelings could fill every single chart But I could never really claim your heart And that is something I need to see

I never get it into my skull I love you always without knowing Which way it is I should be going To or from your lovely face If I’d get slapped or be embraced If I should come out and tell How very very hard I fell

And here I leave still I don’t know why I write this poem or even try You knocked me into the dark Straight out of this lovely park I hope you hear this and wonder why You have such effect on every guy

Goodnight my sweet and lovely girl I may find you later in my life And then maybe my love Would not cause you strife And you wouldn’t have to run And maybe then we’ll be Two in one just you and me
