I don’t know what it is, I’ll be the first person to argue that the sixth Doctor is really quite attractive, but when he’s treated as such in The Wormery it makes a slightly uncomfortable? Maybe it’s just that Iris is really drunk. And persistent.

just ol' sixie? or anytime iris treats the dr (any dr) that way?

I don’t know if it’s because it’s six. I’m leaning towards not, because sometimes people will react towards six as if... as if he’s played by mid-eighties Colin Baker, let’s say. (like in The One Doctor, where he offered Sally-Ann to put her hands on his chest as evidence that he actually was a timelord, and she carried on until he asked her to stop) And a lot of the time, I find that not uncomfortable, it can even be entertaining. 

And it’s definitely not because it’s the Doctor, because other Doctors have been treated as if they are desirable and it hasn’t skeeved me out until they express a desire for this attention to stop and it doesn’t. (ex. Amy kissing the Doctor after they asked her not to, Compassion flirting with eight after they asked her to stop)

The Doctor intermittently appears to be an attractive man, it’s fair that some other characters will be attracted to them and there isn’t anything wrong in expressing that until it makes them uncomfortable.

I don’t want to say it’s Iris, but it might be the way Iris was going about it in this particular audio? Like he offers to help her solve her problem but would like it if she stopped flirting with him, but she only paid attention to the first part.

I think it’s Iris’ lack of a reaction to the Doctor’s reaction to her attention. She almost certainly doesn’t view it as “I will only acknowledge your preferences if they are convenient to me.” but it plays out that way.And that attitude works if you’re the villain or unlikely temporary ally in the piece, but once romance gets involved it skeeves me out.

The Wormery

Well, this definitely was an Iris Wildthyme story. She technically was better than my expectations (like drinking being her superpower), but the silliness is a bit much. Half decent idea to have evolution hating worms be the villains. Colin Baker falls in love (again?) and nicely mopey about the The Trial of a Time Lord.
