i feel like insect dreams can be about overwhelmness, when there are swarms of them. 

@modernwizard‘s guess was that it was about powerlessness. which it definitely is, that’s why during the dream he doesn’t have his things that make him safer. 

there’s also the aspect that, from his… usual life, he has/had the habit of treating lots of people like no more than insects. and occasionally, those people get a chance to have their revenge (see, to some extent Martha Jones –although i don’t think she’d think of it as revenge–, definitely Lucy Saxon –she would–, and even actual insectoid/humanoid ChanTho). [insert examples from classic who that i don’t remember]...

S!M doesn’t do regrets or guilt. that’s more the Doctor’s purview. but he does do consequences, or rather, he does not always manage to avoid them.

in this audio, the doctor gets pissed off, bungee jumps into a black hole, and gives a speech that is imho better than the one in the rings of akhaten

now this one i know lol, that’s definitely phobos!!  i love phobos a lot, and his speech in it especially. “there are the things that i am afraid that i might do one day” will forever be one of my favorite eighth doctor lines; it just hits me so hard right where it hurts ahh.

umm. what's a beep test? (that audiological one?)

It’s a fitness test! This site explains it I think. Basically you have to run from one line to the other before the beep sounds, except the intervals get shorter each time and the slower you are, the less time you have to catch your breath :/

1.   I’m a fan of (bold where applicable): New Who | Classic Who | The Movie | Big Finish | Novels (EDAs, VNAs, BBC, other) | Comics

I’m working through Classic Who and the novels (particularly the EDAs) right now. I would love to listen to the Big Finish audios tbh, but because of my ADHD I almost completely space out listening to audiobooks and then I either miss a ton of stuff or I’m rewinding every 5 minutes. 

14.  Favorite tool/ accessory/ inanimate object?

Twelve’s Clockwork Squirrel 

If it counts, the TARDIS. If not, sonic shades. (the chameleon arch is also pretty cool but tbh that’s just because I just have a thing for pocket watches)

15.  Character I didn’t initially like, but now I do?

Clara. Initially I really did not like her. Season 7 Clara I’m still not a big fan of. But by seasons 8 and 9 I absolutely loved her. She went from one of my least favorite companions to probably one of my favorites.

Zagreus! Zagreus is next! I'm not gonna lie it's kinda a mess, Neverland is objectively better, but I CAN'T WAIT to read your reaction to the DGAF Insanity that is Zagreus. It's so much fun (once you let go of the need for it to actually make sense)

Hahaha yep I’m halfway through Zagreus and I have no idea what’s going on, but I love it? The scene with Eight and the cat was pure gold and it sort of kind of made sense until the part where Charley turned into a robot mouse...? Now I’m officially lost xD I’ll make a post later with all my thoughts haha

the neverland, zagreus, scherzo trilogy is one of my fave who things! they're all epic, but *soooo* so different. zagreus is a bit of a mess, but im quite fond of it :)

Ooh yep, I’m halfway through Zagreus haha but I’m really enjoying it! I can’t wait for Scherzo, I read a description of it somewhere and it was the only reason I got into the audios in the first place :) The whole thing is just so epic and ambitious, stuff like this is the reason I love doctor who!

My friend, if you liked a taste of these time lords please check out the Gallifrey range at Big Finish. If you loved Romana in this you are going to love the Gallifrey range!

Oh interesting, thanks for the tip! I haven’t actually gotten around to watching the classic series yet (will do that soon and am actually planning to start with Romana’s eps haha), but after I get more familiar with her and/or the time lords I’ll definitely check it out! (also a++ url, like I said idk anything about classic who but I have seen memes about looms and lungbarrow and just. good name choice, be proud)
