Look I didn’t expect a Trope Talk on Overly Sarcastic Productions to hit my soul hard with life lessons last night at 1:30am but goddamn if this ain’t a very good and poignant set of thoughts even for IRL

I’ve been recently doing a new thing in my vocabulary that feels related to a malaphor, but isn’t exactly so.
For example:
“Cry me a river, but I’m not drinking from it.” (Talk bullshit all you want, but I’m not listening.)
Or:
“Chris, I want to show you something!”
“Thanks for the offer, but I didn’t buy those show tickets.”
I dunno what it is but I am loving it and I want to come up with more
I'm not sure how serious your tag questions where on the deer trope so feel free to ignore. I think all the reasons the trope works is based on how common / familiar deer are. Like most ppl know the size of deer (fairly large). Most ppl know how they behave (prey animals/ generally non aggressive). Also there is a morality tied to hunting not being wasteful, not killing females(out of season?)/mothers.
So when the viewer sees a completely mutilated deer that does not seem to be consumed these immediate things are conveyed.
1)what or who did this is large/ armed
2) what or who is fast or patient/observant
3) what or who is unnatural/immoral/killing for sport.
4) optional symbolism: was it a doe or buck? Is there a fawn near by ect. These things can also be used to reflect whatever story is going on at the character level or perhaps we an over arching theme the creator is trying to get across.
Anon, I want you to know that you’re a literal godsend for sending this ask, everything makes sense now, thank you so much /gen
Seriously guys. You can go on and create your own Shakespeare insults to hurl at your blundering base-court boar-pigged enemies. You're welcome.
