Climate Changing Stuff
Is it getting any hotter? Are the days growing longer and the nights getting shorter? Is it becoming wetter, windier, colder, blowier, snowier, dryer or… or what?
Is the world's general climate changing much at all and is it significant, or is it hardly noticeable? Who even knows the answers to these pertinent questions for absolute sure? And who could possibly know the answer to that last, searching question?
That's a lot of questions being asked to start off a non-serious post but hey, we're human after all. And we are curious about all kinds of stuff. And the only way we can get any answers is if we ask some or a lot of questions, right? OK, there's another one!
How about I just write about what I know about and whether you get to read this or not or to agree with what I write or not, I don't really care too much one way or the other.
Temperature Change
If it's getting hotter in my part of the world - and I don't think it really is but it sure does get hot in summer every year - then my response is to make sure my home is as well shaded as I can make it and inside I have a good climate control system running, as in air conditioning.
If it's getting cooler in winter, I can't say I'm really noticing it. It gets cold at night so I have a heater to stop it getting too cold indoors. So what? Do I check the thermometer with a magnifying glass to see if it's one tenth of a degree cooler than this or that day last year or for the last 10 years. Like, I could care less. Like, I even keep such records.
Put it this way. If the world climate really is changing, it is happening at a rate I don't really notice. Maybe if I live to be 100 or more I might look back on my life and say to my great-grandkids, "When I was your age, it used to only get to 100 degrees on June 18th." Then I might check the thermometer and say, "But look at it now. Hey it's June 18th and its 101 degrees!"
Darn climate change is going and spoiling everything!
