who takes longer showers?

Hiro does, he has quite the shower routine which involves a lot of manscaping. Lizzie isn’t very girlie so she just gets in and out as efficiently as possible.

how do they make up after a fight?

Hiro usually begs forgiveness in that sing-song voice of his, cuddling Lizzie into submission. Works every time.

who prefers rain and who prefers sun?

They both prefer the sun. Lizzie is sick of gloomy English skies and Hiro loves to be outside and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.

what’s their favorite place to go together?

Concerts!! They both LOVE music and see every band they possibly can together. Hiro especially enjoys getting Lizzie to dance with him, which she only does after much protesting and a couple of drinks XD

who’s more likely to be voted prom king/queen?

Hiro. Lizzie has no interest in being a princess.

do they celebrate anniversaries, etc.?

In their own way. These two don’t like empty, fake celebrations so it’s always something that just has meaning for the two of them.

who’d pressure the other into singing karaoke?

Hiro grabs the mic before Lizzie can even pressure him lol But it’s okay cuz he’s an awesome performer.

what’s their nightly routine?

Bedtime is a tough time for Lizzie, not gonna lie. Hiro knows this so he makes sure she is comfortable in every manner possible. He makes sure there’s a night light on, that the temperature is right, the bed linens are fresh and lightly scented with a soothing fragrance, that she has a nice cuppa nearby, and lies with her in his arms as long as he can so that if she wakes up with a nightmare he’s right there to hold her and comfort her immediately and let her know she’s okay.

who’s more likely to burn dinner?

Hiro. As well all know from his Valentine’s substory the boy is hopeless in the kitchen!

*BURST INTO INBOX* MAMO AND AIKO AS GRANDPARENTS OH PLEASE OH PLEASE.

Well they actually have teenage “kids” in the Outlaw main ‘verse so it may not be that far in the future... the-lost-soldier and Hiro are probably going to have a brat before long.

“Gampa Mamo!” That squeal was the only warning the detective got before the little redhead launched onto the couch. Thankfully, after all this time it was instinctive to tense up in preparation for the assault, and the two-year-old was no threat at all when one was ready. “No sweep Gampa! Pickaback!”

“Jeeze kid, can’t ya even say hi before ya want a ride?” Mamoru groaned, though he sounded much more put-upon than he really was. “Who sicced you on me anyhow? Your dad ain’t here, is he?”

A familiar giggle came from the doorway, and of course it was Aiko, looking over the pair with an affectionate grin. “I told you last week, Lizzie and Hiro are going on a trip and I agreed to babysit Haru all weekend.”

“Hm, thought that was next week.” Even so, Mamoru ruffled the boy’s ginger hair, earning a broad smile in return. “What’s that smell, sweetheart?”

“I’m baking cookies for dessert, of course!” Aiko replied merrily. “It’s my duty as a grandmother to fill the kid with sugar before he goes home.” As if on cue, the timer rang, and the former thief had to dash off to rescue the treats before they burned.

Left alone with the toddler, Mamoru grunted gently and tried to pry the child from his chest. “C’mon then, let Grandpa get up if you want a piggyback ride. We’ll go see what th’other kids are up to.”

“Unca Kaito!” Haru agreed, scrambling to grab Mamoru’s shoulders and giggling as he was hauled into the air.

makes friends with the neighbors: Aiko, if anyone, though they kind of like to lay low... Wonder why?

is the adventurous eater: Mamoru will pretty much eat whatever he doesn’t have to prepare for himself, does that count?

hogs the covers at night: Both of them. It’s a struggle.

forgets to do the dishes: Mamoru

tries to surprise their partner more often: That would be Aiko

leaves dirty laundry on the floor: Mamoru and sometimes Aiko but only when she’s in a hurry, she’s always the one to pick it all up later so she says it doesn’t count

stays up til 2 AM reading: Aiko

sings in the shower: Aiko, when she thinks Mamo can’t hear her (he usually can)

takes the selfies: Aiko, despite the complaining

plans date night: Usually Aiko. Every so often Mamo steps up… but he usually has help.

falls asleep on the couch: Takuto after his all-nighters.

makes friends with the neighbors: Josie, if anyone

is the adventurous eater: Well they both bravely try each other’s attempts to cook.

hogs the covers at night: Josie, and Takuto lets her, using it as an excuse to cuddle

forgets to do the dishes: Both of them. Whoops.

tries to surprise their partner more often: Takuto tries. Josie is not impressed by limited edition Shiffey toys.

leaves dirty laundry on the floor: The clothes kind of go all over the place when they’re alone…

stays up til 2 AM reading: Reading? Eh. Coding? Takuto. Editing? Josie. Workaholics.

sings in the shower: Josie,assuming Takuto hasn’t tried to join her in the shower ;)

plans date night: Josie, or else they’ll have pork noodles at LRN again…

falls asleep on the couch: Mel, after she has stayed up all night to write, and Baba carries her to bed. Gross

makes friends with the neighbors: Both of them, and they probably host dinner parties and barbecues too.

is the adventurous eater: Baba, who has tried a lot of things on his world travels

hogs the covers at night: Mel

forgets to do the dishes: Baba, who then puts on his puppy dog eyes and claims he wanted to do them together.

tries to surprise their partner more often: Baba LOVES to surprise his lady. Mel repays him with other surprises...

leaves dirty laundry on the floor: All I will say is that one time Mel was looking for her favorite bra and found it hanging from the curtain rod.

stays up til 2 AM reading: Mostly Mel, but Baba is her biggest fan so when she finishes a manuscript he's up all night too.

sings in the shower: Baba... dork.

takes the selfies: They take turns!

plans date night: Both of them, together. And sometimes the plans go out the window and they stay in all night. And all the next day.

is the adventurous eater: Mostly Hiro

stays up til 2 AM reading: Lizzie, but Hiro has been known to sit up with her until he can coax her to sleep.

plans date night: Usually Hiro, because he loves to spoil her.

tries to surprise their partner more often: If greeting their partner with a nerf gun dart to the face counts, Maia does.

sings in the shower: Maia, then she wonders why Kaga is chuckling when she's done.

takes the selfies: Ummmmmm I'm going to say Kaga because he seems really vain that way...

6. Our muses are destined to fall in love, but our parents aren’t willing to have us together

“Absolutely not.” Aiko said in a stern voice. 

“What?” Lizzie questioned throwing her arms outwards looking for some sort of reason that she could believe as to why she was being denied something this important. 

“First of all, I work with him and I know his personality. I just can’t agree to this.” Aiko’s arms were folded across her chest putting up a strong and determined face. 

“You gotta listen to yer Mom, kid.” Mamoru agreed beside Aiko letting out a puff of smoke. 

“You can’t mean that. I LOVE him.” Lizzie was prepared to fight through many struggles with her relationship with her boyfriend, Hiro, but going through her family was not one she had planned on.  "Why can’t you be happy for me?!“

"For one-” Josie began, but was soon cut off by another voice.

“He’s so creepy.” Maia added. “Too touchy. Yuck!” She stuck out her tongue to show her disgust. 

“You too, Maia? Aren’t we supposed to be sisters?”

“Well-” Josie stated, but was once again cut off.

“I think he’s nice.” Mel said with a smile, Josie huffed at not being able to speak again.

“He’s very nice. And sweet. He treats me like a princess. I know he used to be a playboy, but he’s changed, I know it.” Her small hands clinched in fists from her frustration. Her own family was against her love, she felt so much betrayal. How could they not understand? 

“Sweetie, I understand that he’s nice. He’s just…” Aiko sighed at the words she knew would break her heart. 

“Look, kid, he’s too old for ya. You’re still a kid.” Mamoru finished Aiko’s words. He had heard her complaints before and would rather be the one hated than to allow his wife to go through that. 

“Seriously?! It’s not that much! I’m almost an adult anyway! I can’t believe this!” Her voice was cracking as she began to yell. 

“OI!” Josie’s voice finally rang through over the turmoil. All eyes went towards the blond, Maia placed her hands over her ears… unfortunately she was the closest so her ears got the brunt of the shout. She would remember to pay her aunt back later. 

“As of right now, we’re ending the dating conversation. Lizzie, you’re too young… right now. Give it a few years when it’s not illegal and we can talk again, okay? If your feelings are still there we can think it over.” Silence fell over the rag-tag family. “Is that okay with everyone?” Josie turned between Aiko and Lizzie gauging their reactions. 

Another sigh from Aiko. “I guess that’s fair. We can re-discuss this when you’re 18. But not a second before.” Mamoru placed an understanding hand on her shoulder. 

“See? It’s not helpless at all. Sort of like Romeo and Juliet.” Mel mused happily at the romantic thought. 

“Except they die in the end.” Maia replied in a flat tone.

“Oh. Well, its still a great story!”

“Okay, Lizzie?” Josie said towards the younger girl. “Right now our hands are tied, plus no matter how much we don’t want him here… there is a police officer in the family now.” The blonde ignored the looks from the matiarch and patriarch of the family and kept going. “Also, ya can’t really leave or anything. Got someone who would track ya down. Plus, I for one would think that you would be really sad if you missed Maia going to prom. Because I’m already pre-gaming for that.”

“What?” Maia said with a start.

“Oh yeah. Forcing her into a big ball-gown with a tiara and everything.”

“Uh. No." 

"Totally. We’ll put ringlets in your hair. LOTS of make-up. I’m excited already. Right, Lizzie?”

“Can we put her in really pointy high-heels?” Lizzie asked suddenly finding humor in picking on the family’s youngest member.

“MOM!”

Aiko had to hide a little smile that was crossing her face. Her twin sometimes had a great knack for diffusing tense situations with humor. Mamoru hugged her tight as they both watched as Josie, Mel, and Lizzie all attack Maia messing with her hair and clothes already simulating the hell she was to go through in the future.

At least, for now, the matter would be placed on the back-burner.

Josie turned and faced the younger woman. "Leave you? I'd bet not. If anything we'd never be able to get him to leave your side. He's already pretty clingy, can you imagine? Don't worry about it sweetie. He'll be thrilled. Plus, Aiko and I will be there to make sure he does the right thing." Josie showed a very threatening smile.
