For miles on end, all that was there was simply destruction. All of it was reduced to ash and fire. Nothing was alive as far as the eye could see. Only one thing remained in the area. The war machine itself. It was clearly searching for, or perhaps waiting for its next target. It was simply destroying everything that came into its path.
The two week deadline was approaching. But it was far too late already. The gardevoir teleported in, greeted by the horrifying sight. It was something she expected, but not to this extent. This wasn’t simply done in a few hours. This looks like it had been happening for a long time. When she spotted the Genesect, she already knew by its posture. The friend she once knew was long gone. This wasn’t him anymore. It was simply a machine that was destroying everything
That’s what she told herself. She kept repeating that in her head, to keep her mind set. She’s not killing her friend. She’s stopping a killing machine. Without wasting any time, she channeled her corruption enough that her own energy would give off a good signal to catch the Genesect’s attention. Her hand began charging psychic energy, and she had her machete drawn.
“I’m here for you…I’m here to fulfill my promise to you”
When the machine turned to face her, it creates a sound that no living being could ever hope to make. It sounds like a growl, but it’s too distorted to truly make it out. Its eye are shining as bright as lanterns, the weapon on its back immediately taking aim at the Gardevoir.
Ventus is gone, only this beast inhabits his body.
Not a second later the cannon creates a screaming sound before unleashing a massive cone of fire, this blast far larger than any other one that Angelica has ever witnessed.
Angie arrived in Sinnoh nearly two weeks ago, and has made her way to the Spear Pillar. After learning what was needed to summon the deities of Time and Space, she was able to get their attention. It was now or never.
The pressure emitted from them was incredible. It took all she had just to keep herself from fainting. Still, she approached the two.
“Great Deities, Dialga and Palkia. I come requesting your help. There is a friend of mine who has an organic mind placed within a mechanical body. The body’s programming has been wearing on his mind, and is literally driving him insane, to the point where he is unable to determine friend from foe. My friend is a Genesect, and from what I’ve been able to read within his mind, he is biologically a Kabutops. Would there be any possible way of restoring him?”
The two remain silent for a moment, staring at her as if deciding whether or not her story is true. Her demeanor, posture, even her tone of voice was sincere.
We cannot grant this request.
“What? Why not??”
A request like this is physically impossible to grant. Our abilities affect those on a grander scale. It is not to be used for minuscule things such as this.
Your friend is a machine. An artificial lifeform created by humans, using an extinct species. He exists beyond his own time period. If I were to reset time to give him his existence, the current time frame will reset as well.
Even if we combined our powers, it would tear the fabric of reality to shreds. Not only would your friend cease to exist, but you and the rest of mortal life will cease as well.
We have given you our answer. Farewell.
The two had vanished after that. This was the worst possible news she could hear. These two were her only hope of saving Ventus. There was no arguing back with them. Ventus was going to continue losing his mind until nothing was left. She had no other choice. Already feeling drained from everything, she decided to rest for one day to prepare herself. She would be seeing Ventus again soon. And it would be for the last time.
As she went to sleep outside of the Spear Pillar, many thoughts were racing through her mind. But all of which eventually led back to one question. How would she tell Wonder? Not much time is left. It’s been nearly two weeks.
A week has passed since Angie’s encounter with the Genesect, seven days down from the fateful countdown of when he will fully lose himself.
When Ventus returned, he felt a great amount of relief when Wonder and Angie weren’t at the home. He dreaded the possibility that Wonder stayed behind, which would mean that he had to force her out.
The reason why Ventus returned here is so that the Gardevoir would easily find him, although it puts several things at risk...he doesn’t want him to be in unknown territory where he would be left to his own devices for an extended period of time.
He sits down on one of the couches and sets a timer in his mind to [6 days, 9 hours, 21 minutes]...and waits.
[5 days, 11 hours, 49 minutes]
I can already feel myself slipping, with each passing hour my own will crumbling before the mass that is insanity. I’m having difficulty focusing on anything anymore, the simple act of sitting on the sofa is a great chore.
[5 days, 1 hour, 21 minutes]
I can feel it... The urges to destroy, the anger and hunger...it’s overpowering...terrifying...
It’s happening far faster than I anticipated, overcoming me like a tidal wave. I’m not going to withstand it, but I must continue to fight.
[4 days, 6 hours, 18 minutes]
I swing my claws, the various chairs and tables smashing into dozens of shards of debris. I have to, in order to prevent me from going outside...I must focus my attention on everything here.
As I tear the sofa apart, I feel a great sense of satisfaction. Destruction...it is fulfilling, the harsh growls and whispers in my mind urge me to continue.
[3 days, 19 hours, 32 minutes]
I stand in a completely obliterated home, nothing survived my spree. Every piece of furniture...every memory...destroyed.
My glowing red gaze scans the rooms, surveying the giant piles of debris. And yet it is not enough, I desire more... My cannon hums to life, the Burn Drive equipped creating a loud buzzing sound.
‘Burn it, leave nothing left.’
So I did.
[3 days, 11 hours, 24 minutes]
They never knew what hit them, and how could they? When I burned down the interior of the home, I immediately went out to seek more destruction.
Every Pokemon I saw was slaughtered, either torn apart or burned to ash. Upon realizing what was happening they tried to fight back, but they stood no chance.
So they ran, for it is all they could do.
But for some, it was not enough.
[2 days, 7 hours, 53 minutes]
Smoke blots out the sky as the forest is consumed in a roaring inferno, loud screams echo as I charge through the fire with my prey in my sights.
The Pokemon shrieks as I leap onto them, my claws tearing into their hide with ease. In seconds they are torn apart, leaving nothing but scattered pieces to fuel the flames.
The hunger...it is unending, with each kill it merely grows. All will die, all will die...
[1 day, 4 hours, 9 minutes]
The land has turned to ash, every tree burned and every Pokemon slaughtered. Many have escaped, but that is delaying the inevitable.
Hunger... It is all I am now.
[0 days, 8 hours, 32 minutes]
The only thing left standing within a several mile vicinity is the Pecha Tree, due to the surrounding earth of the home containing the fire...it managed to survive. When the forest burned, the wind blew it in the direction away from it...
The machine stands before the tree, its size far abnormal and its fruit much bigger than average. Angie gave him a seed when she was a Kirlia as an offering of friendship, he buried it so that it will grow and prosper...and prosper it did. It is an embodiment of their friendship, a symbol of how close they’ve become.
And now it is just another victim of his hunger.
With a powerful blast from his cannon he sets the tree alight, in quickly turned into a raging bonfire in a matter of moments. Its berries explode from the heat, showering everything with their boiling juices.
The tree went up in ash, just as its symbolism.
[0 days, 0 hours, 9 minutes]
His hunger...he needs more... This place will not satisfy him, once he burns everything that he can see...he will move on to the next place.
Everything he was...is gone, now only hunger remains.
A wild Queen Angie appeared! She teleported in and walked up to the home of Ventus and Wonder, knocking at the door. "Ventus? Wonder? Are you two home?"
When the door opens the Gardevoir sees Wonder, her eyes widen with a mixture of surprise and fear. “M-miss Angelica!” She stutters, quickly bowing her head. “I’m surprised you came here so soon!”
☭ (Angie vs Ventus, curious on how different would be from the last one years ago)

(There are various things that can interest someone into following another. It could be the plot, the idea, or even just the appearance of what a character looks like. I was intrigued by Phoenix's concept, but what made me continue following you was the interactions. I greatly enjoy Phoenix's design and character, it makes interactions far more interesting and enjoyable. Getting back into the community is difficult and tedious, I can confirm that since I'm having difficulty myself.)
‘What...is wrong with me?’ The machine thought angrily.
Wonder is currently away, leaving Ventus alone in their home.
‘Why am I...so angry? Why does the most petty of things set me off?’
Lately...he has been growing bitter, what should be friendly encounters end with him lashing out. He has scared away many and got into fight with several others, none of them ending well.
He lets out a hiss and stabs his claw into the couch he’s sitting on, puncturing the furniture with incredible ease.
"What...is...wrong...with...me...?” He growls out loud, his body shaking.
The anger...it’s strong, ever so strong... Ventus found no reason behind it, no logic... It’s random, or at least appearing so.
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!” Ventus roars. In his fury the Genesect stands up and slashes and tears at the sofa, his claws tearing it apart like a hot knife through butter. In mere moments the piece of furniture was left in tatters, but the machine was still shaking...still angry...
‘...Why...?’ He thought to himself, his shoulders slumping. The machine collapses on his knees, his red eyes staring at the ground in hopelessness.
Something is wrong with him, and he doesn’t know why.
