The mech had DEFINITELY caught on. His smile remained despite tailgate nearing closer and closer to him, feeling a sudden warm servo resting gently on his latex cheek. He was scared, but that fear seemed to ebb away just a tad when he began to realize that this mech didn’t seem scared nor wanting to hurt or fire him out the airlock. that....Was a relief. Wait, had he just asked if he moved? He did catch on! Well, guess the jig was up. Jeremy’s smile seemed to fall slowly, replaced with a more curious yet worried look. He blinked, tilting his body in a nod. Yep, he could definitely move. And think, too. Sometimes thinking sucked, however. he didn’t like to think too much about what he was. But then his managed to flash Tailgate a small friendly smile. 

Maybe this mech wouldn’t threaten him...?

I have a head cannon that if you throw a potato through Helex's grinder it comes out like curly fries. Think about it, the blades spin and if you put a potato through spinning blades it makes curly fries!

Toothless moved slowly around its latest scrounging site. This area lay much closer to where warm-metals walked often... but that made the findings for a predator-turned-scavenger much better, too. The scraplet had to balance greed and caution, and hide out of sight whenever a warm-metal passed.

Like now. Lured across an open walkway by a tasty-looking discarded hinge, it now had no cover as pede-steps grew closer. It judged the shadow of the warm-metal nearing the corner, and decided it still had enough time to run back across to a good hidey-hole.

Tiny legs propelled it quickly across the walkway...
