@the-son - I absolutely understand the LGBT+ movement as we know it was started by trans women, I’m not disputing that. What my initial assertion was is that the acronym wasn’t always LGBT+. Bi people and trans people have to had to fight both the Straights™ and other members of what is now the LGBT+ community (Does no one else remember bi people getting called “Bihets"? Are we just going to pretend Bi people have never been told that we’re either lesbian or gay and just being homophobic/are afraid of coming out one way or the other?)
So yeah, technically bi people and trans people have ALWAYS been a part of what is now the LGBT+ - but they had to fight for years to be seen as equals or even be recognized in the fucking acronym (That literally only started around the late 1980′s - early 1990′s)
