The chase

“Where did she go!?” “She ran through here. Hurry up and find her already, you imbeciles!”

Heavy footsteps slammed the earthy ground of the forest, the clanking of metal loud and well audible even in the distance. They completely covered any sound that the girl could make, a bit farther ahead as she moved quickly through the bushes, jumping over small roots and taking turns if bigger obstacles blocked her way. That definitely wasn’t the forest she was used to - the plants and shapes were completely different, less thick but larger. She didn’t exactly know where she was going. When she found herself in an open spot, she caught the chance and teleported a few meters away, so that her traces could be lost in the middle of nowhere.

She crouched down behind a bush and held her breath, staring at the direction she was coming from. She didn’t notice someone else was nearby, pressing a hand over her own lips and waiting...

The moment Goku caught scent of Void, he held out his open arms and embraced for impact. He was just as excited to see Void as Void was to see him!

“VOID!” he exclaimed, hugging the Atlantean tightly. “How are ya~?!”

It had been about a day or so since Aaronix emerged from one of the mountains his weapon had been kept in at the Freljord. Whatever plans he had regarding the other darkin, they were placed on hold. Today was a “Me Day” for Aaronix. Being poikilothermic wasn’t easy. Right now, the large darkin was resting in the warm climate of the jungle, basking on a large rock - or at least, the largest he could find - and taking in the sun’s rays. Until he fully recovered from the cold, Aaronix would be feeling sluggish.
