I really fell in love with @the-wenzel‘s “Find me in the Shadows” Voltron fic. Each character has their own agendas that challenge one another and leave no one the same.

Pairing/Characters: Sheith; Shiro, Keith, all the others Rating: E; blood, violence, light gore, light body horror—basically everything you would expect from Bloodborne. Size difference, body worship, some nipple play, marking. Word Count: 80k Notes: this was written for the @sheithsecretsanta exchange, written for @the-wenzel. I am horribly late but I was able to finish this. It took forever to write and I was constantly working to get it finished. There’s a lot of notes, so it’s best to read it through the link. Summary: Shiro is a disgraced knight, his homeland destroyed by a vengeful covenant of hunters and cursed with a metal arm of forbidden arcane magic, finds himself in the aid of a famous, but lone hunter named Keith, the Crow, who is reluctant to help Shiro discover what his arm truly is.
This is going to be the last thing that Shiro looks upon.
There is the sky, there are the clouds that are clustered together, leaving no visible parts of the sky for anyone to discern, with their hues of soft warm colors with the edges that are sharpened with a blue-tinted purple, the mass of it swirling together, crowding the sky. There’s a sunset’s tone grazing against the back of it that suggest sunset is upon him. The thick of the clouds prove too great for sunlight to truly pierce the bottom of the clouds, and instead, leave the clouds highlighted.
There’s a glaze in Shiro’s eyes, his eyelids are drooping; slow, laconic blinks that become longer, lengthening their frequency in between. There’s fire in his lungs, threatens to disintegrate the inside his chest, to burn away at his ribs, incinerate his heart. There’s a heavy, dragging weight against Shiro’s chest, on his legs, in his arms, twining around his flesh and nerves and thickening his blood in ways that would alarm Shiro, would force him to seek out a local doctor or healer of some kind, but—
But.
08/05/2018 ~ for @the-wenzel
Pressed for time, so unfortunately this became something of a speed challenge. and apparently I really cannot draw kissing. The number of versions this went through where it looked as though they were just chewing each other’s lips. Ew.I wasn’t sure about Aubrey’s hair texture and i realised too late that I had missed the opportunity to draw Felix’s apparently magnificent nose. :/ How do artists do this facial intimacy shtick???
And thank you so much for the loan of your OCs for the challenge!
1 & 7!
I got these same numbers from two people!!
1.) What’s the worst role playing experience you’ve had?
I’m going to guess this refers to the RP itself since there’s another one that asks about OOC situations. I’ve been RPing “publicly” (aka, not counting my OC stuff with my friends in high school) for 8 years now, so I’ve encountered a lot of really dumb or offensive situations just by statistics and volume.
I think there’s always going to be an overlap with IC and OOC for worst experiences, because you can just brush away stuff that doesn’t float your boat. For it to be memorably bad, the person on the other end has to be just as ugly, and for that I’m going to have to say the circus that was the Delahan Division.
The concept of House Guilds was still fairly sparse at the time but it sort of embodied the egotistical, destructive spirit that seems endemic to that guild type. I choose this over some worse experiences because of how much it affected people in character-- when you have a guild asserting authority, committing IC crimes, and then holding trials for their own members that result in pardons it becomes this weird situation where everyone is left being a captive audience to these people self-fellating and involving just enough people that you can’t avoid them.
I can’t think of a single person who came out of that without a massive cloud over their head for a few months.
7.) Things that you will not tolerate?
-Lack of OOC communication. I like surprises and you don’t need to warn me about every plot twist, but I like being able to consent to things that will dramatically change/affect my character, and making sure that I’m comfortable with the idea.
-“RPing to win”. Of course you want your character to emerge victorious from their troubles (unless you like torturing them), but a lot of people have this mindset where RP is a game, not a storytelling medium. I find that 99% of the time it’s men who are like this, complete with tallies of won fights in their profile, and... no thank you. If your RP goal is for only you to be having fun and not enrich others’ stories, I’ll pass.
-The general range of harassment/manipulation/abuse. Kind of goes without saying. This is roleplay, not politics; there is no goddamn reason to be cultivating allies and hoarding information and social capital.
-Children. My guild does not allow characters under 18 (or members under 21). From a personal standpoint I find child-related RP to be twee, tedious, and uninteresting; from a bigger picture standpoint we tend to RP themes that we don’t feel comfortable having children involved in. Mostly cannibalism.
there’s way more but those are the first to come to mind
Lyre bird & pigeon!
lyre bird: favorite sounds?
Other than the many songs I like, I assume. Ehhh, the sound of thunderstorms is something I’ve always loved as a kid and growing up didn’t change that.
pigeon: do you like the city?
Overall, yeah. I moved to a smallish city for college (100,000 people is a lot when you’re from a town of 3,000) and I really like it here. There’s a lot more to do and I feel a lot more connected than I did. Growing up in the country meant I lived a long way from all my friends, so aside from birthdays I only really saw them at school. Now I have friends that live a ten minute walk or drive away and that’s a lot nicer.
Thanks for the ask!

Sh/ancevomit / don’t ship / ok / cute / adorable / sexy / perfect / beyond flawless / hot damn / screaming and crying /i will ship them in hell
I really liked this one early on in my fandom experience, but that’s waned over time, and now I prefer sh/k/lance. All three of them together is a much more entertaining dynamic. But there will always be something really sweet about little ol’ Lance gettin’ together with his hero!
Punkvomit / don’t ship / ok / cute / adorable / sexy / perfect / beyond flawless / hot damn / screaming and crying /i will ship them in hellPidge/Hunk took some time to grow on me because I was more of a H/ance kinda person, but now I really like ‘em! However, my thoughts on Pidge’s sexuality and feelings about romance will probably always be in flux. I can see Hunk being a pretty easy going kinda guy in a relationship though, especially WRT more intimate activities (bonus points for that size diff. though).
📖 & 🕹
📖 Fave book :
Currently my favorite book is Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It was just fast paced enough to keep me flipping pages, the characters were compelling and flawed, and I loved the world. I have the second one in the series sitting on my shelf but I just haven’t gotten around to starting it yet.
🕹 Video game you are currently playing
Uhh the only thing I’ve been really playing lately is Fire Emblem Heroes, but if you wanna talk like, non-mobile game, then The World Ends With You!
LMAO I’M SO SORRY It’s definitely a creepy statement without context
They are!!! I didn’t even know black swallowtails existed until last year when I found my first caterpillar!
