Last, but not least of the initial 3 re-designs... Brian. Rainbow Brite's only human friend to which she gave the "Key to Rainbow Land".
It makes me sad at the number of people who forget he existed. "He wasn't in the movie!" Yes he was. You got distracted by the jerk with the black robo-horse. No really, I love Krys and all, but I feel like Brian was a more interesting presence in Wisp's life. Because Brian was human and normal-mortal in a way none of these color/season/light-avatar near-god-like creatures were not. In one of the TV episodes it was indicated that some (if not all of the color kids) and Murky were much-much older than they appeared. Brian connected Rainbow Bright to mortals in a different way than any of her other interactions ever could. I don't mean that necessarily in a shippy way, but sometimes I think it's worth remembering that Brian was a normal guy basically hanging out with a pantheon of gods. "You better get this off of me! Eventually I will get back to doing these. My 20-years-later-and-everyone-is-a-bad-ass Rainbow Brite redesigns. It started with Wisp, a.k.a. Rainbow Brite. This was meant to be her battle gear type outfit -- because I assume more things than Murky continued to show up throughout her life, and she had to keep avatar-of-Iris-style saving the world. I need to do another illustration of her regular clothes, something closer to the iconic dress.
The arm guards are likely gifts from her friends on Spectra.
