Thank you to the brave women who have spoken out in spite of the intrinsic guilt, shame, confusion, denial, ostracism, and threat to reputation they risk when confronting this insidious power dynamic. I have experienced my fair share of bullshit from predators in the entertainment industry and count my blessings for remaining relatively unscathed. I need to admit, however, that I have been unconsciously complacent when it comes to brushing off what should be condemned as harassment and have even considered these men normal when dealing with their inappropriateness.
