Learning to Fly - Steve and Diana
There were things Steve Trevor loved, and one of those was the feel of the wind in his hair when he was in the air—but only if it was on purpose. At the moment it wasn’t making him at all happy, primarily because he wasn’t skydiving or hang gliding or bungee jumping. He was hanging onto the controls of an F-35 with a busted canopy and a jammed ejection seat somewhere over the Pacific.
He was going to crash and die or die and crash. It was debatable which would happen first. Last time he’d bailed out, he’d found the impossible, but Diana wasn’t anywhere in the area—neither as her island home. It was in a different ocean half a world away, and he had no idea where his Angel was.
“Well, I’m fucked.” He let go of the controls and bent down, pulling a knife from his boot. He figured he had tops five minutes before he hit the ground like a sack of wet cement. His teeth drew blood as he focused on cutting the straps that hooked the chute to the seat. If he couldn’t get the seat loose, he’d take the parachute. It’d never work, but he had to do something.
The smell of burning plastic was cloying, and it was joined by the stink of his blood when the knife slipped but he got the unit free. Slamming his fist into the lock on the canopy, he let out a scream as it was yanked into the sky. Steve held onto the chute with everything he had, holding it so tight his arms hurt.
By a miracle when he got it open, the silk caught the air, nearly yanking it out of his hold, but he managed to hang on. His fall slowed to a crawl. He squinted against the glare of the sun off the blue, blue water as the F-35 hit the water near a tiny island. “Bingo.”

Diana would recognize a face like that anywhere, and word traveled quickly among her closest of comrades: Clark and Bruce. She was just glad to finally meet one of them, and the greeting was welcome as she smiles brightly at the boy. “Good morning to you too. What brings you to my side of town?” She had already scanned the area, neither guardian was anywhere to be found and she wanted to ensure he wasn’t in any trouble. Even if she did hope for the best, Diana was no stranger to dealing with the worst.
“I ran..” was Jon’s quick reply, a smile on his lips even though he was panting from slight exhaustion. The young super had been trying to see how far he could run, if he could already run around the world like his dad or not yet, so far he could only run across America back and forth twice before getting tired. He had noticed where he was, which city he was close by and decided to run again and search for the hero; one because he needed to be with someone who could keep him safe until his dad could pick him up and carry him home, and two because its’ Wonder Woman, which kid wouldn’t want to spend time with her? Especially him who fawned over every hero and considered her stronger than Uncle Bruce and his dad.
“Dad allowed me to run as long as I stay in America, ‘m waitin’ for him to pick me up... ... whatcha doin’? Have ya fought any bad guys lately? Are you in a mission now?”

Ororo’s eyes scanned over Diana’s figure with obvious appreciation. “I would like my shirt back,” she replied before adding, “Simply because it was a gift from Kitty.” A devious smirk slowly scrolled across her lips before reaching for Diana’s wine and took a sip for herself.
How To Enjoy

Finally. Finally monitor duty had ended, not that he minded doing that, it was just super boring, slow and long. There was no way to speed it up, even if he had duty with one of the others.
Though at least they responded to his rambling, except maybe Bats if he was grumpy, so that made it just a bit easier.
So it was nice to stand up, stretch his body and look over at Diana, whom he had just finished the hour with. As far as he recalled she wasn’t doing something else when she wasn’t on duty. Right? What did she actually do?
“Hey Diana, are you doing something now? Maybe we could hang out? As in..on Earth? In civvies?!” He asked, slowly an idea forming in his head. He had never spend time with her like he did with John.
@the-amazing-amazon sent 💀 to walk in on my muse killing someone.
The field was painted in red and red also painted his arms and face. Staring up at the sky he closed his eyes when the clouds began to gather and pour at his command. Thor allowed the rain to wash the blood and the broken shards of bones from his skin. The battle wasn't long but it was well fought, a groan informed him one of the opponents was barely alive and he was promptly struck by a lightening that ran though the sky. The soft, soothing sound of the rain hitting the lifeless bodies around him was interrupted by steps nearby. The Thunderer knew all of Asgard's enemies he came here to kill were already defeated so he wasn't worried when he opened his eyes, returning from his post-battle stupor.
Let’s Dance - Steve and Diana
A throbbing bass beat was giving Steve Trevor a headache. He pasted on a bright smile to hide it, and held his hand out to the blonde sharing his table. She was dressed in neon pink and green, with earrings as big as dinner plates. Sheila Ramsey was a secretary at the Pentagon. She was also a spy for the KGB not that that was public knowledge, just as it wasn’t that he was a spy too.
“Come dance with me?” He hoped he could keep her busy long enough on the dancefloor for his headache to go away and for his partner to get a good look at what was in Sheila’s purse. Diana was smart. She was quick. Steve trusted her to watch his back, and to get what they needed—evidence and a clue about what she was up to in DC.
As the song shifted to something from Saturday Night Fever, Sheila let Steve tug her along to the cluster of brightly dressed people on the dancefloor. Once there, he pulled her into a spin and wrapped his arms around her waist. The last thing he did before starting to dance was to make eye contact with Diana, giving her a nod.
