Hmmm... That’s actually a bit of a tough question.
I’m assuming you mean dropping the Time Piece, implying that Hat would eventually have to come back for it?
Hat knows that Mu just wanted to do what she thought was right and make the world better, but she also knows that Mu’s a kid. A kid, without parents, trying to scrape by and for their life to return to normal. And kids, no matter how well-meaning, shouldn’t be left in charge of divine powers.
Mu is on her own and doesn't really have anyone there teaching her right from wrong and how she should be trying to handle things. These are all things that Hat knows and factors into her feelings about Mu.
Because of this, Hat’s already forgiven Mu for a lot of the things that happened between them.
Yeah, she’s still mad about some of the things that went on. But she’s mad about them happening, not that Mu was involved.
Would she want an apology? Yes, she would. Mu did something wrong and probably hurt a lot of people while she did.
Is Hat going to actively seek out Mu to get the apology? Or pressure Mu into giving it? No. Hat’s willing to forgive her without one.
Mu didn’t know what the Time Pieces were or what they meant to Hat or why messing around with them was dangerous. Hat’s willing to let it go because Mu didn’t know any better.
As for whether or not Hat dropped the Time Piece in this AU, I’m going to say she didn’t. Again, it’s not safe for mortals to use the powers of Gods, and she doesn’t Mu or anyone else to get hurt by her powers.
But, when Mu comes to terms with things and understands where she was in the wrong, she’d probably apologize and Hat would openly forgive her.
