A Friday visit to Buckland Abbey
#theartofreflection #snowga #thatsagoat Day 5- Consumption I've grown up around a lot of animals. Especially goats. At my parents house we have up to 50 goats in the spring with all the babies. I really care for animals yet I used to not care about where I ate meat from. I would love to be vegan, but my body composition does not match that diet. So what I have done is become very conscious where I get my meat from and I limit it to eating it only once or twice a week. I only buy local, organic, pasture raised meat. It costs insanely expensive, but I think it's beyond worth it. ❤ Share your story and tag me, @talia_sutra @aubrymarie and @aloyoga ❤🙏

#theartofreflection Tomorrow: Day 4- Shift in transportation All our life, so far as it has a definite form, is but a mass of habits. Although each habit feels little on its own, the way we organize our thoughts and work routines have enormous impacts on our health, productivity, financial security and happiness. How do you get to work/school? How support your body weight in your posture? Tomorrow is bringing attention to these habits to bring upon a more positive shift. If you normally drive to work can you find a way to be more Eco-conscious? Bike to work? Public transportation? Even taking new routes to work will fire new brain synapses and light up more of your brain with neurological activity. How do you move throughout your day? The tension in our bodies are formed by many small postural habits. Pay attention when you're standing if you shift your weight on one leg, or hike up a hip. Watch your shoulders. Pay attention to the way you transport yourself and play with new ideas on how to bring a positive shift into your habits! Tag @talia_sutra @aubrymarie and our sponsor @aloyoga ❤ I'll announce today's winner tomorrow morning ✌
#theartofreflection Day 3- Shift in Communication This one makes my stomach hurt. Communication. I really do not want to post about this. Not one bit. But here it goes... I'm a very open person and love to socialize and communicate. I have deep conversations with people I hardly know... And I think this is easy because I'm not feeling vulnerable so being open comes naturally. Now my true struggles with communication come with those I hold most dear to my heart. When there are moments that I need to communicate or want to express deep love and gratitude I run away. I literally leave the house or room so I don't have to put my deepest emotions on the table. I have left important conversations unspoken. It has been my hardest struggle, but I'm working on it. When I first started dating my boyfriend a couple years ago I literally could not confront my emotions by speaking. Anytime a testy subject came up that was close to my heart I just cried. Whenever we tried to work through a problem I pretty much shut down the conversation by crying or just leaving the apartment. Later I would write a letter for him to read expressing my emotions. It's gotten much better through the years... But there's still so much room to grow. I think this shift in communication is learning that vulnerability is where you gain your most freedom. The areas of most resistance become the areas of most liberation. ❤ I'll be posting tomorrow challenge in a few hours so stay tuned. Thank you all for your posts so far!
#TheArtOfReflection Day 2: gratitude I did a therapeutics training in January where I fell in love with a new friend, Shannon. The moment we met I could tell by the way his eyes lit up as he spoke about life that this was someone to hold on to and listen to. We have lunch every couple of weeks and share our knowledge of our paths. Shannon is deeply grounded in his spirit. I am deeply grounded in anatomical science. During our lunches we teach each other our knowledge so that we can become better teachers together. Shannon inspires me to delve into myself. I'm grateful for you @shannonmichael13 for showing me the light. For inspiring me to continue down the path of self search and peace. ❤ If you share a story make sure to tag @aubrymarie @talia_sutra and our sponsor @aloyoga so we can all see your post! ❤❤❤
There are amazing people in the world. In fact, every person you meet is amazing if you get to know them. I'm so thankful for this community on social media where we can share our thoughts and feelings so quickly around the world. I've been really enjoying reading all of your reflections on this past year! You've still got to the end of the day to post ❤ Love you all! #theartofreflection Tag @aubrymarie @talia_sutra and @aloyoga to read as well! ✌
My sweet IG family! I'm so excited about this challenge we've created because it is about the internal art of this practice. Day 1 is OBSERVATION! All you have to do tomorrow is sit for 10 minutes with a full pen, empty paper and open heart. Write and reflect on your past year! What events have stood out? What were special moments you shared with others? Times you felt extreme fear... What came of it? Times you felt adventurous and extreme gratitude and love? What has this year been for you? This year for me has been mostly about adventure. Taking leaps of faith that have propelled me into finding out more of who I am and making such amazing connections with new people in my life and learning to love and live better. Learning to speak from my own passion and truth. I cannot wait to hear how this year has been for you all! Make sure to tag @talia_sutra @aubrymarie and @aloyoga so we can read your responses! Love you all! #theartofreflection
