Soooo T-minus 1 week until my brain surgery! 😳 I’ve gotten opinions, second opinions, and third opinions on which of the two procedures I need to do first to resolve my chiari malformation and the intracranial hypertension & optic nerve swelling it is causing. I’ve decided to do the Posterior Fossa Decompression with C1 Lamenenectomy. If my papilliodema (optic nerve swelling) persists, I still may need venous sinus stenting with a 2nd procedure in 4-6 weeks. Basically, my cerebellum is drooping into the hole at the bottom of my skull, crowding and squishing my brain stem, and blocking all of the very much needed cerebral spinal fluid from getting to my brain properly, which is causing massive pressure inside of my head. Crazy thing is this image (minus my doodles, of course) is from 2015, meaning this blockage has been happening for AT LEAST 5 years. 😭😖 I’m ready to get it taken care of! To reiterate what I’ve said in earlier posts: my website shop & Etsy shop are now CLOSED. Most likelyyyyyy for 6 weeks+ (but not permanently!!) My spoonflower shop will remain open, but I will not be checking messages or emails, so I won’t be able to do any revisions for again, minimum 6 weeks, if not longer. If I don’t reply to DMs, emails, messages whatever, please understand this is why!! I won’t be able to lift anything more than 1-2 lbs for months. I won’t be able to move my head/neck to be on my computer, and I won’t be able to drive.. So yeah, staying closed for awhile is unfortunately necessary. I will miss y’all, I hope to post updates on here if I can. I appreciate all y’all’s positive vibes!! Please send some for my Neurosurgeon Dr. Effendi to DI an extra good job (and not to have to shave off too much of my hair 😭 #vain ), and send some extra for my poor hubs for when he suddenly realizes just how much house cleaning, kid watching, and cooking I actually do (lol!) 😂and pray Lexi & him will be ok too!!!
