Although the date of our first text message was a month later, today June 9th 2019 marks one entire year of having my best friend @theasstour
On this day one year ago, I stumbled upon a fic that would mean more to me than I’d ever know. Sweet Creature was a piece of fiction that ignited my love for writing, and birthed my love for Nora. I remember binge reading all the chapters that were posted at the time and instantly messaging her once I’d finished, telling her all the reasons why I loved it and why it was the best thing I’d ever read. From that moment on, my life was changed. Because of that one message, I now had a new best friend.
Nora is someone who will put every ounce of love her body can muster up into your relationship. She has the kindest heart, one that is warm and inviting and open to every one she comes across. She constantly is spreading love and support, not only on this site, but in the outside world as well. I know if I’m ever having a bad day, she’ll be right there to make me smile. She understands boundaries I haven’t even had to tell her when I’m having a bad day and vice versa, somehow knows exactly the right thing to say, and can make me laugh like no one else. Somehow, while being 3,267 miles apart, we are the same person. We eat the same foods at the same time without planning to, have loads of the same travel goals, want to learn new languages together, and have almost exactly the same personality traits. There’s no doubt in my mind that she and I were meant to find each other.
I know this means nothing to most of y’all, but I just needed to take some time to show some appreciation for the girl who keeps me sane. To thank the universe, Harry Styles, and whatever other worldly powers for bringing me Nora. I would be no where near the women I am today without her in my life. I am beyond grateful to have met such a kind, loving, passionate, beautiful human being. and I’m even more lucky to call her my best friend, yin to my yang, and the other half to the shady shitty ginger murder sisters💛
