Amelia....MIGHT have gone a little overboard for Bucky’s birthday--baking 104 chocolate cupcakes, along with setting up a dessert bar, and having Clint and Sam help her decorate up the whole room in green and blue. But it wasn’t every day someone turned 104!

She hoped he liked everything (and the new boots and cat coffee mug she got him). He was an important part of her little ‘family’. She wanted him to feel special on his birthday.

     Her shoulders slowly dropped as she watched Bucky extract himself from the debris. Bonnie’s magic was too drained for her to do much more than try to move some of the larger pieces from his body, and she worried on her lower lip as she took in his bruised and battered body. “We should get you looked at.” The last thing they needed was for him to have some internal injury that not even his accelerated healing could fix.

Neal pointed at the other man, his hand mostly wrapped around the beer bottle he was drinking from. “True. And also some people don’t bother hiding their dark side at all.” Was he thinking about the monster his father had become or Pan? Both, actually.
