I was about to go on some Gaslight District related tangent about how it’s the perfect amalgamation of the vibes of a ton of shit from my childhood (the Tunnels series, Crashbox, etc.) and was looking for this old DeviantArt user whose art (mostly Harry Potter fanart iirc? That’s what I was mostly looking at, at least) was my main inspiration for creating as a kid and a major reason for why I ended up in illustration as an adult.
Their username was theatomicboom, but they’ve deactivated since I last looked for them years ago. Kinda disappointed that all that art I idolized as a kids is now lost media (no Wayback Machine saves of their page), but I wanted to at least scream into the void about them one more time.
Do you know where they are now? Did they ever go into the arts professionally? I’d love to reach out to them and thank them formally if they’re still online somewhere, so any info is appreciated.
