the Back and Forth
When the mental fight between dreams and reality gets out of control,
it's hard to breathe in and out to let go.
There's so much negativity in every day life that makes it difficult to
remember,
I can be different and stand on my own,
to find peace and know where my heart is.
The challenge that continues is the push and
the pull, back and forth with what I want,
but if I put in the work and go with my gut,
the rest will easily follow.
I'm a dreamer. I envision everything. I picture how I want my life to be from waking up in the morning with flowers at my bedside and a nice warm cup of coffee in the kitchen, to how I want to travel the world and inspire people through all of my creative endeavors. Dreaming is great. The ideas motivate me and make me happy to see my life in that light.
Then reality slips through the spaces of the clouds and finds me to trip me onto my ass. Fear seeps in and grabs my attention and suddenly the dreams are harder to see, the light fades, and the joy turns into depression.
