Fat Cat Creamery featured in Food & Wine Magazine's August 2016 Issue
The cats can't even cat right meow.
Fat Cat Creamery has been listed in Food & Wine Magazine's August 2016 Issue, in the editorial spread 'United States of Ice Cream,‘ with our very own bosscat and owner Sarah Johnston, as the main picture chosen for the entire spread. She represents the shop with a double scoop on a brown butter brown sugar waffle cone, in front of the cat wall in the shop.
The feature, by Julia Heffelfinger and Christine Quinlan, is a tally of 'the best ice creams and favorite parlours across the country' with votes submitted by followers of the magazine's Facebook page.
Fat Cat Creamery has been included in the Southwest portion of the list (the only one chosen in Houston), along with a couple of neighbors in Austin to round out the Texas picks.
Fat Cat Creamery's write-up includes a shout out to The Barry Farm, who provides local seasonal produce to the shop for fruit sorbets, and mentions Milk Chocolate Stout as a top recommended scoop.
Us cats are forever grateful and thankful to the people of Houston, TX., and ice cream fans and lovers from near and far, that have visited and voted for us on this list.
If you're in the Houston area, come visit Fat Cat Creamery in the Heights for some local small batch ice cream, made from scratch.
We love you kitties,
the cats
