i might be wrong but i think they’re had franco in a separate hotel in china??? don’t take my word for it, but i could’ve sworn someone mentioned that.
he was genuinely locked up as a reserve (has more freedom now? but still not a lot) i remember they wouldn’t let him talk to Juan Fossaroli in Australia (?) he was wandering around the paddock going to Williams and MP’s garage since he wasn’t allowed to talk to the press.
i remember hearing about the separate hotel in china, too. the switching between him and aron as to who went to what races burned me... i was looking forward to alpine using him for goofy team shit like how either teams do with their reserves, like exploring the city or eating weird food or quizzing ppl on the street. nope, none of that. they totally wasted his charisma and humor
they also don't seem to play his radio messages nearly as much as last year, nor do they do as many interviews. let my boy be a staple on f1tv post-show again, dammit
