This was February read for @rachaeljohnsbookclub which I only just finished because I didn't seem to get any bookclubs' books for Feb read last month! 😅 Let me just say that this wasn't one I'd have picked for myself... . The Beautiful Words by Vanessa McCausland . By the pains in my heart, I only wanted to rate this 2 stars... I don't like having my heart trampled all over like this. 😭 . By the words I read in my head, I wanted to rate this 4 stars... Such beautiful setting, neat structuring, very real characters, and that cleansing at the end. This book kept me up at night and not because I was reading but because I just can't stop thinking about it. This makes it a very good book, don't you think? Except that my thoughts distressed me and that's what kept me from sleeping. There are personal reasons for this but that's all I'm going to say about it. I'm off for a lighter happier read. .
