I've complimented your blog several times before, it's really awesome. But I was wondering, what are some things that serve as inspiration for you and your work?
It is always great to hear from you, Aaron. I hope you are well.
I let this one sit and I thought about it for some time. Here are a few thoughts to answer your question.
This site began as a manifestation of my attempts to create something bright during a dark time. I tried to visualize the art as an energy converter, consciously taking negative energy out of my surroundings and putting something positive back into the world. To sum it up, I feel like it worked better than I ever imagined it could.
I have formed connections here that have positively changed my outlook creatively and directly inspired me to try new things. I see new art everyday that was just created and I feed off of that.
I am very lucky to have some damn fine people in my life who tend to look out for me when I get so focused on a project I forget to eat or sleep. I am fortunate to have this group of people around me that inspire and challenge my work.
Inspiration is everywhere. Nature and music particularly drive sub-currents throughout everything I post here. I try to keep a cadence and strive for new permutations.
Thank you, again, for that question. ++
