Mr Myers is back with another classic horror, Proving once again that build-up is the key to suspense, Alfred Hitchcock successfully turned a flock of birds into some of the most terrifying villains in horror history. The premise shows Tippi Hedren in her screen debut been relentlessly attacked by a flock of birds. Although the plot on paper sounds rather more of a parody than a horror, Hitchcock's The Birds is easily one of the most iconic and suspenseful films in cinema history, The build up of suspense is greatly directed and extended as Hitchcock prolongs his prelude to horror for more than half the film, playing with audience suspense with comedy and romance while he sets his stage. Which is one of the best ways to review this film it's like watching a seamless Broadway play, However when the horror comes it is a hair-raiser and a hellraiser 😉😱 Riddled with alarming moments primarily from wandering down dark hallways alone, but also from sitting in silence waiting for the next inevitable ambush. Nearly 60 years on, the film is still an absolute marvel to behold, through its technical method of filmmaking and suspenseful build up moments. A true classic at its finest Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds is a 9/10 ~Mr Myers #horrormoviesreview #moviereviews #horrormovies #alfredhitchcock #thebirds1963 #suspensefilms #tippihedren https://www.instagram.com/p/CTR--ZHqgKW/?utm_medium=tumblr
