TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT TOUR YES
So my two friends and I bought VIP acoustic show/meet and greet wristbands for Sleeping With Sirens. Needless to say, Kellin's voice was gorgeous and so clean live, and Jesse would not stop smiling. It was absolutely adorable. AND they played Iris. When they played All My Heart, Justin and Jack came onstage too, and Jack was whispering the lyrics to Jesse the entire time and it was hilarious. Also, the meet and greet was short, but when Kellin was signing my stuff, his head just pops up and he just says "hi!" really enthusiastically and I wanted to drop on the floor right there because AW.
Lions Lions have kick ass stage presence, like they throw their guitars and jump off shit and just wow, so much energy. Plus, they're a bunch of sweethearts, and we met them after the show. I told Charlie I liked his beard and he said it was his pride and joy with this really appreciative face, and then Isaac asked me what my nationality was, and then he was like, "WOW that is the coolest mix ever!!" and then we started talking about show injuries and other stuff for like ten minutes. He signed my CD with two hearts because of my "cool nationality," and then drew this really adorable cartoon in Mailei's autograph book. Nicest guys ever.
Dangerkids honestly aren't the kind of band I'd listen to, but like everyone else on the tour, they were SO NICE AND ADORABLE. The rapper guy (I don't know his name) was setting up his stuff and he said, "Would you like to help me with this? I don't know why I have so much stuff." I just told him I wished, cue nervous "haha." Props for having a girl drummer too, hollaback gurl.
Ugh I like Conditions and all but they're set felt too long. The guys were funny though, but their exchanges didn't seem natural, ja feel? But regardless, they played well and all that jazz.
THEN SLEEPING WITH SIRENS CAME ON
So basically, their set was fabulous. These Things I've Done is SO GOOD, and there's so much energy to that song and it's just so great to bounce to.They played a bunch of songs I haven't seen them play live, like (spoiler alert) Fire and Don't Fall Asleep at the Helm and The Bomb Dot Com V2.0 and Roger Rabbit (super sexy though wow). Jesse was on our side of the stage, and he was STILL smiling the whole set through. Justin was pretty much moonwalking half the time and he was getting so bouncy with the bass, and he was fantastic. I couldn't see Jack much, but he came to our side of the stage a few times and made these really funny faces, which I got pics of yo. I was so glad I could see Gabe too, since usually, I can't see the drummer, cuz the venue they played last time has a stage half a foot taller than me. Kellin was killin' it, and of course he made his singing faces and he sounded waaay better live than on recording. And people have said he sucks live. Mmhmm, y'all can suck it live.
Oh right, and then Kellin wanted everyone to come onstage towards the end of the set, and then half of the venue crowd surfed to the stage for the "last song." I didn't even bother trying to get up there, and I knew there was going to be an encore because yo, there always is. So for If You Can't Hang, I GOT ONSTAGE YEAAAAH. Except everyone crowded around Kellin so I danced behind everyone with Justin and Jesse and Gabe, but then the security told me to get off. I high-fived Lions Lions on the way down.
Pretty much one of the greatest nights of my life, and I swear I'm not exaggerating.
