A long, long time ago, I stayed with my Grandma in Oklahoma during summer break while I was in college. Coming from California, I always had trouble sleeping, but thankfully my Grandma had lots of books. She had a whole shelf of #tonyhillerman books. I would open all the windows wide to cool down and listen to the crickets. I’d burn cedar incense and read till I passed out. I read every single one of them and loved them. I recently watched the new show #darkwinds on @amc_tv based on this series and it took me back to those memories. My Grandma is no longer around and I miss her so much. I wish I could watch this series with her and discuss what we liked and ask her questions like I used to. I decided to #read the #books again.
