The Sweater and the Monster
Sirius had been watching him for the last twenty minutes, sprawled across the opposite end of the sofa like a cat who’d claimed the entire territory. Four months, sixteen days, and twelve hours. That was how long they’d been official.
And still, nothing. Just kissing—long, slow, toe-curling kissing that left Sirius aching and restless every single night.He was done being patient.
“Moony.” Remus hummed without looking up. “Put the book down.”
A faint crease appeared between Remus’s brows. “...I’m in the middle of a chapter.”
“You’ve read all the poems in that a thousand times… You’re stalling this.”
Remus’s ears went pink. He closed the book but kept it in his lap like a shield.Sirius sat up, knees sinking into the cushions as he crawled closer.
“Every time things start heading anywhere interesting, you find a sudden urgent need to make tea, or check the wards, or reread the same bloody paragraph until I give up and go wank in the shower.”Remus’s flush deepened, spreading down his neck. “Sirius—”
“No.” Sirius reached out and tugged the book away, marking his place and setting it on the coffee table. “We live together… We’re alone, no one’s going to walk in on us. And I’m dying here, Moony. Four months. Sixteen days. Twelve hours. I’ve been good. I’ve been so fucking good. But I want more than just kissing even if that is fucking fantastic...”
Remus swallowed hard. His hands twisted in the hem of his jumper, pulling it lower over his thighs. “It’s… not that simple.”
“It is that simple,” Sirius said softly, shifting until he was straddling Remus’s lap. He kept his weight light, his palms resting on Remus’s shoulders. “I want you... I don’t care what you think is wrong with you. I just want you.”
