Questions:
Do you read a lot of different genres, or do you mostly stick to your favourite?
I rarely venture outside the YA genre except for some upper middle grade...and within those, i rarely read anything thats not fantasy or sometimes sci-fi (i'm doing my best to branch out into contemporary a bit though)
Big book hauls or just a couple of books at a time?
from the library, they usually range from 5-8 ish, for my birthday/christmas it can be anywhere from 3-8/15/etc, but ones i buy myself usually consist of 1 or 2 at a time. the 5 i just bought is like a truckload (the exception was at the library book sale last year - i bought like 30 books for under $20, so...)
Do you have a Book Boy/Girlfriend?
nnnn, so many :D Percy Jackson, Tod Hudson, Hanson Alister, Levi...
What is your most looked-forward-to book related thing?(maybe an upcoming release of a book, or a movie adaptation, or…).
At the Moment? Honestly, probably just being able to read as much as i want, because i was so deprived during the school year i literally started getting depressed. yeah, but also there's so many adaptations coming out this summer! (and TFIOS this weekend, i'm so happy for John!)
Would you buy the same book twice to get a better edition?
in general, no. i don't have space for my books as it is, let alone for multiple copies of the same book. not that there aren't exceptions, and i've been severely tempted by some the newer Rainbow Rowell editions...
Are you a person who also reads the connecting novellas and extra stories?
sometimes. it depends on how much i like the series, the availability, price, etc...
Have you always been a reader?
Yes! (in elementary, i terrified my classmates with the number of books i checked out during our weekly trips to the library)
Do you own a book with special emotional value?
perhaps not emotional, but definitely sentimental. my books hold my memories. just looking at my bookshelves right now, for about 90% of them i could tell you the story of how i found it, how i got it, and my first time reading it.
Do you own signed books? If so, what’s your favourite?
i have a handful, though most are generic ones i won from giveaways, or bookplates that i did. that being said, my favorites are my copy of The Demon King, which i drove 5 hours round trip to get signed by Cinda Williams Chima (she also signed my copy of The Warrior Heir), and my signed and personalized Raven Boys bookplate from Maggie Stiefvater that she sent me for entering her fanart contest <3
When you’re reading hardcovers - jacket on or off?
Always on! (unless it's really annoying me or is getting really beat up.) Cover art is reeeeeeeaaaaaly important to me because i associate it with the book and that's how i remember it (which is why i hate ebooks and when they do cover redesigns)
Favourite series?
The Seven Realms by Cinda Williams Chima! (The Demon King, the Runaway Queen, the Grey Wolf Throne, the Crimson Crown). after that, Percy Jackson and Leviathan
i'm not making new questions/tagging people because this is so late and i have like 5 more to answer, but feel free to send me random book facts/questions if you'd like!

2. Do you prefer books written in first person, second person, or third person? Oh damn, that's a good question. I actually think I prefer third person so I can see everyone.
3. Do you visit any book blogs outside of Tumblr? Not really, but I do check out Wendy Darling's blog, The Midnight Garden.
4. Do you watch book hauls on YouTube? Lol, weeeeellll, I try but I get bored really easily of people talking on youtube, so yes and no.
5. Do you have to have matching covers when you buy books in a series? OMFG YES! Lmfao yes! I will claw my eyes out if I can't! But sometimes I compromise. I can think of Thrones of Glass right now, I have the first one in hardcover and it's different from the rest.
6. Which book to movie adaptation did you love? Catching Fire was fantastic!
7. Which book defined your childhood? My childhood didn't have as many books in it as it should have xD but I'll say Holes because I always wanted to read it but just couldn't.
8. Do you like books with illustrations? Lol, those were the only books I could read when I was little.
9. Do you break the spine? I definitely try not to, but I have to be the first one to open up a book of mine, unless it's signed that it.

3. Which book has let you down? Which hasn't let me down! xD Definitely Blackout by Robison Wells, it had so much potential and I was excited and it just failed.
4. A happy, a sad or a bittersweet ending? Ugh, Bittersweet probably. I hate happy endings but I also hate sad endings as well xD
5. If you were given the chance to be an author, who would you pick? Hmm, J.K. Rowling.
6. Which book has made you wish you had written it? Catching Fire, it was so clever!

11. Hardback, paperback or e-book? Whichever is cheaper or goes with the previous ones I have in a series. (if that makes sense lol)
Questions by the sweet athousandbookstoread :)
1) Which would you consider the most unusual book you’ve ever read? Hmm, probably And We Stay by Jenny Hubbard because it was so bland I died.

5) What is your bookish or literary pet peeve? When people make jokes or say anything about the speed at which people read and insta-love in books.
Questions by the great thebookcafee :)
Do you borrow a lot of books? And do you lend out yours? I don't really have any friends in my town that read like me so no, I don't really borrow books. And it'll be a cold day in hell before I lend out a book of mine xD.
What is your favorite movie (or television series) that’s based on a book? Game of Thrones hands down.
Do you read multiple books at once, or just one? My attention isn't strong enough for so many at once! So I stick to one lol
What’s the first book you remember being your favorite? Identical by Ellen Hopkins blew me away.
Are your friends and family book lovers too? Lol never! It's just me.
Is there a literary trope that really annoys you? Yes. "I let out the breath I didn't even know/realize I was holding."
What’s the favorite book you own? (Because it’s a special edition, or signed, or has emotional value, or…) Nah, I don't have a favorite favorite, all my babies share my love equally :)
Do you reread books? I try not to, but I will every now and then :)
Do you have a preferred reading spot or can you read everywhere? I have this chair in my office that I read in or I read in bed just in case I want to fall asleep.
Who is your favorite author? Matthew Quick, and Chuck Palahniuk will be up there shortly.
Do you have a favorite collaboration between authors? (Or between an author and a different kind of artist) Not really, I haven't read anything by two authors besides Beautiful Creatures.
Totally to lazy to tag anyone or write question xD I'm sorry
I was tagged by Mirjam, who is also known as thebookcafee
I am so sorry for taking this long to do this - but better late than never!

Facts About Me
I keep forgetting my age - it's probably since my birthday is coming soon.
I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 6 hours.
I went on holiday to Wales last week - and I want to go back very soon.
I listen to soundtracks when I want to relax - mainly Doctor Who and How To Train Your Dragon.
Since starting full-time hours at work, I'm now tired all the time. It's like being a student all over again.
I have a pair of Marvel pyjama bottoms - and they are glorious.
My most recent purchases are a Hardback copy of The Night Circus and Paperback copies of Prisoner of Azkaban, Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.
I want to reread the Harry Potter series this year since I haven't done that since Deathly Hallows was published.
I really want to write a book, but I'm an expert of procrastination.
I've been down a real mine - it's awesome.
I don't have a decent bookshop in my town - which is something I really hate.
My Questions
Do you borrow a lot of books? And do you lend out yours?
I don't tend to borrow books since I have a massive pile of books that I own that need to be read. I sometimes lend out books, but that's only when I recommend them, and this is mainly to family members.
What is your favorite movie (or television series) that’s based on a book?
How To Train Your Dragon - I absolutely adore both the movie and the books. Whilst the movie isn't a straight up adaptation, it shares the same themes as the books, and the author loves the movie, which is a bonus! I can't wait to see what happens in the next two films as they're supposed to be more like the books, but in what way, we'll have to see.
Do you read multiple books at once, or just one?
I read one at a time, which my manager finds a bit weird, but I like to fully immerse myself in a book. Plus I can get easily confused, so more than one book at a time would be a disaster for me.
What’s the first book you remember being your favourite?
Obvious answer, but it's Harry Potter. Before HP I liked books but didn't have any strong feelings towards them. Philosopher's Stone was the first book I treasured and reread.
Are your friends and family book lovers too?
My Mum is, and so is my Nan and Aunt. Friends, not so much. I'm the biggest book lover that I know.
Is there a literary trope that really annoys you?
The Farmboy who goes on an adventure to find that he has some bigger and greater destiny. Prophecy is optional.
What’s the favorite book you own? (Because it’s a special edition, or signed, or has emotional value, or…)
Chamber of Secrets - my original paperback copy - since my old dog, Charlie, decided that it would make a great chew toy. Charlie was a fantastic dog, but he died when he was four, so it's a great way to remember him.
Do you reread books?
Yes. Less so at the moment due to my massive TBR pile, but I tend to reread a book if it's part of a series and I need to refresh my memory before a new books comes out - I need to to this for TMI.
Do you have a preferred reading spot or can you read everywhere?
My place of choice is my bed, but I can read anywhere. I quite liked to read on the train when I used it to travel to and from uni.
Who is your favorite author?
I truely hate this question since I can never decide on just one. J.K.Rowling, Joseph Delaney, and Terry Pratchett. I can't narrow it down any further.
Do you have a favorite collaboration between authors? (Or between an author and a different kind of artist)
I haven't read any author collabs that I've been a big fan of, although I really would like to read Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
Tagging Time
I'm too tired to think of my own questions, but Mirjam's were really great to answer, so if you want to procrastinate, or just like talking about yourself in general, consider yourself tagged.
So guys basically I just won a giveaway by thebookcafee and if you're a book lover, you'd definitely want to follow her. Their blog is basically a book paradise!
