This is part of a series of items made by Charlotte Smith, the founder of the miniature book collection at Special Collections & Archives.

Today's item is a humorous warning about the possible dangers in book collecting. It seems to be a gift from one book collector (Smith) to another, so hopefully the story never applied to either of them!
