Inktober, Day 26 - Box "I am the box ghost....beware!!" Inktober is almost done and I'm so excited that I've kept up with it this long, this is the first time I've ever been this consistent with just drawing so I'm really proud of myself. I had a conversation today about success and sacrifice, something I've always been uncomfortable with, to be honest. Essentially what came from that conversation was that essentially all that you lose is equal to what you gain in exchange for what you gave up. SO IMMA KEEP GOING CAUSE IT'S GON' BE WORTH IT. I HOPE. I'm going to keep this short, sweet, and to the point.

Reblog OR like (please don't double up) if you find TheWitchBlog to be rude, offensive, and intentionally antagonist. The same applies if you believe that they spread misinformation and are attempting to enforce some kind of dogma on people they have never met.

I just thought we could use some numbers, as they seem to think that their viewer count applies directly to their supporters.

Can you explain what is going on with the witch blog? Im confused just a bit.

TheWtichBlog is under the impression that there is a 750,000 year old witchcult called The Religion of Witchcraft of which he is a High Priest (descended from a line of them, naturally), and Druids, Wiccans, Christian Witches, and basically anyone else who calls themselves a witch is a fake and a liar because Witchcraft The True Religion is the only way to be a witch.

He also believes that Hinduism and Buddhism are Aryan religions, Druids never existed, feminists are (and I quote) "whiny bitchcunts," and that literally every holy symbol, holiday, and tradition in everything from Christianity onwards was stolen from this Religion of Witchcraft, which was apparently started by cavemen. He also believes that Christian Witches, Wiccans, and other "fake witches" in the pagan community are out to get him and claims that he has received death threats against himself and his family for daring to speak the truth.

He's repeatedly harassed and stalked a number of Christopagans on tumblr, and regularly posts material related to rape and self harm in the tags in a deliberate effort to trigger people.

I'm not even exaggerating any of that.

There are days when I have a very difficult time believing that he's not a troll, because seriously, no one person could be that loudly and deliberately wrong about so many things, and so belligerent in his treatment of others. I also have a very hard time believing that anyone takes him seriously.

I have discovered two things tonight

1. The Box Ghost literally gets almost no notes whatsoever except for the people correcting his misinformation. (So he really does do this for the attention.)

2. Checking the responses of other witches joining the debate to defend Christian Witches and other practitioners is a great way to find lovely new people to follow.

So thank you, TheWitchBlog, for bringing the tumblr pagan community closer together and reminding us how important it is to support and learn from each other.
