It was not until he was bestowed by God with a grave illness did he sworn to cease his alliance with this passing world, yet it was really not until he saw an image of Our Lady, Help of Christians did he truly began his conversion to the Faith. Since then he lived out a life of exemplary virtue, staying close to Our Lady of Dolors. As we approach near to the season of Lent may we seek his Saintly intercession & study his pious devotion towards Our dear Mother, loving & sorrowful with wounds for Her divine Son, who was in the world, yet the world knew Him not.
