"Seraphina!" MJ called her name from the top of the stairs as he scrambled to catch up with her in the hallway. "Ser- Wait, Seraphina, I'm--" He yelped as one foot caught on the other, sending him tumbling down the stairs (and taking a couple of other kids with him). Stilinski genes, it seemed, were more powerful than werewolf reflexes.

MJ lay on the floor for a moment in the vain hope that hiding his face in his arms would shield him from the embarrassment.

(Spoiler alert: it did not)

There were irritated shouts of 'Stilinski!' and laughter echoed through the hall. It was mortifying, but eventually, he knew he had to stand back up. When he did, he saw Seraphina--an unfortunate combination of crush and best friend--watching. "Not the way I hoped to get your attention," he groaned.

"I'm sorry," Farah managed to say with a little shake of her head, golden ponytail swaying with the movement, "but you must be mistaking me for someone else." This was the first time she had laid eyes on the girl, and yet she was intimating that she was her daughter.

She felt bad that the girl was obviously desperate enough to find her mother, whoever she was, that she would mistake a complete stranger for her. Clearly there was some trauma there, but Farah was a pre-school teacher, not a psychiatrist. She wasn't trained to unpack it.

luke had been sat in front of the fireplace, back against the coffle table, for what felt like forever. most likely it had been maybe forty minutes, maybe even an hour. however, he hadn't been doing nothing. some random human may assume that, but no. he'd been channeling magic and trying to communicate with his twin sister as well. once he finally got through to liv though, he sighed. "just come back soon, please," he whispered under his breath. the moment had been brief, but he took it and soon enough he opened his eyes as well. he'd been so wrapped up in his spells that he hadn't noticed the other there. "were you waiting a while?"

1- I once rode my bike off of a roof to impress a girl I liked. I did not stick the landing but she was equal parts impressed and horrified that I did it. I consider that a win.

"What the actual fuck, Shipman?" Jackie demands as she stares at the girl who was once her everything, glare set deeply on her face, arms crossed tightly over her chest, nostrils flaring. For the first time since she died, she's angry, well and truly angry. Not bitter, not bitchy, not snarky, angry to the point her small ghostly form is practically shaking. "You cannot do this. You cannot keep everyone here. You can't ruin their chance at rescue. You can't ruin your own chance at rescue. What the fuck are you doing? Why are you being this fucking stupid?" Her tone is full of more vitriol than she'd ever been able to muster at Shauna when she was alive. "I don't give a shit how much you get off on having 'power' here or whatever, you need to go home. Your family needs you, my parents deserve closure and only you can give it to them. Go. Home. Shauna."
