Last Sunday I thought I'd reach out to my auntie Daisy because for a while I had noticed I hadn't seen her posting much on Facebook about my uncle Michael and she. I decided to text message her and she informed me that unfortunately my mother's eldest brother passed away on October 20th in hospital, he was quite frail for a while and had survived a stroke months previous to this. He was 77 years old and I have many fond, fun memories of him and our family together from over the years and he was always a big kid at heart. I know he was resting in heaven with his little sister (my Mum) and their parents, Grandma and Grandpa Charlton. She invited me over for dinner this evening as I had planned to pick up a copy of his service but I explained she did not have to go out of her way and cook even though she is a great cook but she insisted I at least take some home, so I did. I am very glad that his service was able to be held at our family church, St. Mary the Virgin, where my mom and her parents ashes lay at rest. God bless you, love you Uncle Mike. #family #thecharltons #gordgeous #loveintheend #stmarythevirgin https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ0hhfjrKqf/?utm_medium=tumblr
