It was a stupid mistake. She underestimated the enemy and that's how it ended. Surprisingly, the Inquisitor chose to capture her alive rather than kill her. The Inquisitor tied her hands and brought her to one of the Imperial cruisers. Ahsoka's heart clenched in pain as she realized that the clones around her were clones of the 501st Legion. She knew them all, but none of them were themselves. If only she could extract their chips...

But those thoughts were quickly forgotten when she heard heavy breathing and then saw him. Darth Vader, the man who now frightened the entire galaxy with his cruelty. Lord of the Sith.

"I'm not afraid of you. I've seen Sith Lords and been able to kick their asses."

"So. I hear you're the newest Skywalker." (From Clone Anakin)

Rey looked over at the man, having been reading a data pad in relative silence. "I suppose that's one way to put it." She commented as she turned the pad off. It was a weird way to put it for sure. She was the youngest and therefore the newest, but he made it sound like she'd been elected the Newest Skywalker rather than been born to the family. The man....seemed a little hostile towards Rey, or perhaps she was imagining it. "I'm sorry, who are you?"

All Ben could do was sit there and stare. He didn’t really know what to say or do or if this was even real. But then he found his courage and spoke up. “You’re supposed to be dead,” he stated as he stayed perfectly still though he was ready to move and defend himself if need be. “How are you here?”

It had taken years, years of anxiety, of looking over her shoulder, for him to find her. She had known, the moment Obi-Wan urged her into hiding, that this would be how it ended. 

She was thankful, at least, that he had found her away from the town she lived in. No need to cause a scene. She took a deep breath as she looked at him, black armor and assisted breathing. It hurt her heart, it hurt her soul. This was the man she had loved, now look what he had become. 

She had a blaster on her hip, but she didn’t reach for it. She knew it would be fruitless to fire against him, knew the stormtroopers that flanked him would kill her before she had a chance to blink. 

“Ani...” she says softly, words almost carried away by the wind, “Please.”

Obi-Wan wasn’t pacing, he was meditating while walking, and he was definitely not nervous.  Just because he was one of the last three initiates to not be chosen to be a padawan doesn’t mean he was nervous.  Even one of the other’s taunts was completely not getting to him, no matter how much he bristled and felt like his stomach had tied itself into knots.

It felt like everyone had turned up, even Knight Skywalker despite having never taken so much as an interest in training another after Ahsoka Tano (the other Jedi gossiped that he had been dragged there by Grandmaster Yoda and Master Jinn). The sparring had been going swimmingly until Bruck taunted him between matches about how no one would ever want someone as clumsy as him and he’d end up Fallen anyway.  Obi-Wan still won, but not without a few stings and burns.  Furthermore he could tell just from the expressions on everyone’s faces that no one was going to pick him as a padawan after all, just like Bruck had said.  

He took off to retreat into a hallway away from the others, unwilling to hear Bruck again and even more unwilling to stay and listen as he was rejected for what was the last time.  Obi-Wan only had a week left and had gone through this entire charade a few other times already.  The usual dismissal and rejection was an old hat to him by now.

“I do…but do I even want to know what you’ve been up to in order to ask me about it? I’m usually someone’s last option.”

          Her mouth opened as if to answer his question, but it hung idle for           a moment as her brain debated the finer points of explaining how           she’d been sparring despite medical advice to let her wounds heal for           at least another week before returning to strenuous activities.           Oh how dumb would she sound.           “Look I tore something. Ok?”

Her eyes lit up. “So you’re not mad I got a pet?” She was trying to hold back her excitement.

“I know that technically they’re not allowed in the Temple but I couldn’t let this little guy all alone, y’know? Promisse I’ll take good care of him! He’s such a good boy!”

The cat came from behind her, purring loudly. “I named him Sparkles.”
