He’s here! Little Luca Lee Thongsavath was born March 1, 2021, weighed 8.32 lbs, 20 inches long, in Beaverton, Oregon! We were induced 2/27, water broke on 2/28 in the early morning and I finally dilated to 10 cm by 3/1 morning - active labor (or pushing) only lasted 40 minutes! (Thank goodness) Luca experienced shoulder dystocia and was shocked upon arrival and did not cry until 3 minutes. The little lingual frenulum under his tongue was quite close to the tip of it so we had a frenectomy performed. Boy this little guy is tough and had been going through a lot in only the first 5 days of his life.
