Kanto wasn’t a place he often made trips to. Devon Corporation usually had local contacts who could mail over whatever information was needed, but sometimes, R&D just liked bullying their intern. To them, it was probably a form of stress relief.

And so, Yuuki stood by a small flower patch in a town called Pallet, with a duffel bag slung over his shoulder and a checklist in hand. He was supposed to interview a few of the locals, ask them a few menial questions ... and regroup with the rest of his colleagues in Pewter City. What a schedule for the day.

... time to rearrange his expression into a (slightly more) pleasant one.

“Hey,” he greeted a nearby lady with a bright voice and a polite smile, “Could you help me out with something? I’m a researcher-in-training!”
