Temples of Kyoto :: Souji and Rokurou
It was strange, being somewhere without being by Yukimura’s side. Rokurou was nearly always with his master, usually to make sure the other didn’t end up getting himself killed. He was always so… unpredictable.
Still, this trip was necessary. Although the magenta-eyed page wasn’t an active priest, it didn’t mean he neglected his former training either. The Unno family was renowned for their priests and priestesses—it would be a shame to neglect his duties as a priest entirely.
Thus, after having his presence be requested by some of the temples in Kyoto, Rokurou , rather reluctantly, asked Yukimura for leave. The man had been surprised at the request, but granted it to him all the same. It wasn’t often the Brave of Water requested much of anything from the young Sanada Lord, so he must have seen little harm in allowing the younger man a couple of weeks in Kyoto.
And so… here he was, after a day or so of riding. He’d not bothered to stop for the night, deciding he’d rather make his way to Kyoto where he could save his sparse funds and just sleep at the temple. Rokurou ignored the aching muscles in his legs as he dismounted his horse, beginning to approach the temple before him, leading the large creature by the reins.
The Brave of Water stopped short upon spotting a young, brunette man who appeared to be training. His hair was up in a peculiar fashion, and he was clad in dark red and green. His sword techniques were… different from what Rokurou was used to seeing. They were somewhat vicious movements, but they were undoubtedly skillful.
Now, normally the exhausted page wouldn’t bother speaking up, but he was—as mentioned—tired, and honestly, a little bit curious. “Kunnichiwa,” Rokurou greeted with a small bow. “I apologize for interrupting, but may I ask what style it is you fight with? It’s one I don’t believe I’ve seen before.”
The part-time priest would announce his presence to the temple when he was done socializing… It would be nice to at least have some company outside of the stuffy temple. Most of the priests and monks here would be dull—and despite everything, Rokuro didn’t like things that couldn't hold his interest.
[[ Forgive me! DX I cannot—for the life of me—recall what the name of the temple is that Okita is often found training at… But for the sake of the roleplay, that’s the one that Rokurou will be staying at ^^0 ]]
