My ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Review
This book was an interesting read. A eclectic mix of old world charm with modern world elements. It is filled with magic and paranormal creatures. A Hunger Games vibe in some areas, with a forbidden love brewing in the background. The cast of characters gives this book that wow factor along with the danger around every corner as there is a war brewing between the worlds.
I found Satima a very strong and independent character. Her fierce loyalty to her people makes her a very lovable character. Toren is strong and very intelligent. But I can tell he has secrets. Many in fact that he has yet to tell. His character is unique in some ways with the magic he possesses.
This book is filled with deception and violence. It has many mixed feelings throughout. The story progresses at a medium pace and is very hard to put down. There seem to be many moving parts throughout and it keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. But I can guarantee you that it will not end the way you think it will. It is a cliff hanger for sure.
I found the book to be intense at times and very entertaining. The storyline is unique and has interesting characters that are also unique in some ways. The world the author has created seems to be of fantasy type and is strange and unusual. The story will draw readers in and hold them hostage. I know I am hooked and cannot wait to read the next installment. This book has the potential to be a great series that will be highly addictive.
