I used to make potions, make graves and gravestones for dead animals I found, I named trees (I thought only I did this oh my gosh), I wrote "poems" (I guess they're spells) to make it rain/thunder/storm and I collect(ed) rocks I felt a connection with. So yeah I suppose I accidentally practiced magick as I was growing up!

I did all of those things! My parents used to make fun of me because I had a favorite tree in my yard that I used to talk to all the time lol

Definitely! Spells are much more effective when you write them yourself.

Thank you so much for your super quick answer! And yeah the text is visible now ^^ I do have a BoS but it’s fairly empty as I haven’t really practiced much yet. Do you happen to have a simple spell I could cast tonight or something that'd kinda "introduce" me? I haven't casted any spells so far because I was a bit afraid, but this seems like the perfect moment tbh... <3

Certainly! I always recommend writing your own spells, but here is a simple spell to hail the moon, which will bring its power down for you to access. I’d cast it just as the eclipse is beginning.

Okay wauw first of all your blog looks RAD. (But I can't read your bio text, sorry.) I eh, I have a question. The night of the supermoon seemed like a good idea to start my book of mirrors... but what am I supposed to write? Like a "normal" diary but with wicca related stuff? Are there rules? The internet isn't helpful at all... it only says to document my journey and stuff. What does that mean? D: Can you help me? <3

Ahhhh thank you for alerting me! I had changed my background image without checking if the text showed up. It should be visible now!So, I have never used a Book of Mirrors before. I’ve made one Book of Shadows, and am planning to rewrite it as a Grimoire based on Seidr and the teachings of Freya. But as I understand it, a Book of Mirrors is just as you said, a journal to record your experiences with the craft. Hopefully you’re compiling a BoS as well, since it will hold all of your reference materials and spells. Tonight would be a great night to bless your BoM! Also, if you do any meditations or visualizations (or scrying, which I am planning), you can record your experiences with those in your Book. There are no rules as to what your Book contains. You can fill it with poems, stories, dreams, or even simple observations of nature or the world, even your encounters with the Otherworld or Fae. It’s your BoM, which means you can create it however you would like. Good luck and Blessed Be. Remember, there is about a five hour window of the total lunar event, but only an hour and a half of total lunar eclipse. That is when you’ll want to perform any rituals-save harvesting for the later penumbra, and set out any items for charging before the first.
