Some late night Poetry

I am my mothers tears as she watched her father leave. I am my fathers fear as he saw his mother beaten. I am the long nights of shame and the strength found in the morning. I am the abandoned lovers and regrets. I am the nostalgic past that keeps up at 2 am . I am what my mother wishes she could have done, and what my father never did. I am the moon that led my Abuela over the mountains. And the stars that guide my Nina home. I am everyone and I hold the history.
