Oh, Lyssa. I sincerely hope you never reach the threshold of assuming you should ask; that’s the man’s job, you know! Unless you want to ask a girl, in which case either of you can, but you’ve only ever expressed interest in men as far as I know. And if the universe knows anything, men will express interest in you, too - that’s why, for as much fun as a Single Ladies night sounds, it shouldn’t be more than your last resort plan. But I’ll see you there regardless! I promise! And you need to put down your book and your hypothetical date for at least one dance for me - although, you’ll have to lead. I never learned how.

That’s a very traditional way of looking at it, but I’ve read lots of books lately where it seems like girls are taking more and more control of their own fate, including asking boys to dances! Not that I wouldn’t love to get asked just once before I graduate, I’m just saying that if I don’t I know I’m partially at fault for going alone, too. It should be your last resort plan, too; you seem like you really want to go! I know you’re not interested in asking someone, but just out of curiosity, in a dream world, who would you want to ask you? We could always dance to a song that doesn’t need a leader and a follower -- oh, I’ve always wanted to get better at those line dancers people do!

I ship you with Clementine! She likes your questions, she's nice enough, and she obsesses over dudes which means you'd have someone attached to your other hip.

@thedarlingclementine is a nice girl but you framed this in a very unappealing way. I know that people get passionate about things, but obsession tends to have an unhealthy connotation, and one can only assume that if she were obsessed with me, had we started dating at some point in the past, she would have resented @dallasdwarf having so much of my attention and my closeness to so many other girls, and thus I would have had to break up with her due to her probably jealousy at having to share me.

Couldn’t ask for a better roommate. 

I can’t wait to finally get her to go see some of my favorite spots in Walt, even if she is worried about death by snake or sun poisoning on our hikes.
