The Darwin Dash
Where the finish line is the journey...
The Darwin Dash is a sea-to-summit run. It was first held on Saturday, February 23rd, from the Pacific Ocean to the top of San Bruno Mountain.
Unlike any other race in the history of the world, The Darwin Dash (@thedarwindash on Twitter) is an evolutionary ascent that begins with one limb in the water and ends on the top of a mountain.
The goal is not to record the fastest time. [No, that would be silly.] The goal is to have amazing experiences along the way with your fellow participants and others you meet and befriend during the epic journey.
Follow the path of your evolutionary ancestors and make the epic climb from sea to summit. Lose your fins, grow some limbs, and meet fellow adapters along the way. [Pictures from the first race here.]
We are all joy seekers in this world, even the ancient fish instinctively finding a better life. From developing lungs to having the courage to change and adapt in an ever-evolving world, we are all creatures destined to learn and improve. We all move at our own pace, but we constantly progress to the next peak life throws our way.
Pay homage to this cosmic journey in the next Darwin Dash. @thedarwindash to stay ahead of the curve.
