HC + sleeping habits

Send me  “HC”  + a word and I’llwrite a headcanon about it.

If he sleeps, which unfortunately for him is iffy in regularity at best, it is generally on his side, curled up a bit, with his back to the wall. 

He does not want his defenseless back exposed to whatever enemies creep up on him in his rest (and he just knows there are a hundred lurking, waiting for a chance to strike.)

This stems from his upbringing as a Knight of Ren, being good means making enemies, Snoke taught him as much. Enemies means, in has case, a list of people with the desire to kill him and some of whom also have the means. He barely trusts his own Troopers and guard to keep him safe, expecting one to turn on him at any time, so it is no surprise that he sleeps in a very defensive / protective position. He also sleeps with his weapon on hand, his primary hand never leaving it during the night. He has learned to be always wary and always ready to defend himself.

On the third day

His head was pounding, the screams and yells of his named had echoed through his head before his eyes flickered open. The light that shown through the window made him groan. “Lily... close the curtains...” he mutters softly but he felt like he was speaking through dust with each word.
