Is she, perhaps, the singer who made a cameo in the first episode of What’s Up? She has a lovely voice, and this is a haunting song.

The director always has a habit of casting specific actors for comedic relief (Lee Ip Sae is one of them) - as a result, their subplots take serious damage; it's a Cardinal Flaw of his...

On the one hand, becoming a comedic character actor means it’s easy for you to find work in a part that you can do well; on the other hand, I kind of want to scream in frustration when your plot gets screen time…

(And, like, how much more interesting–and possibly tragic–would the story be if they took it seriously? I mean, Won-hyung and Nan-jung aren’t getting happy endings in this show. I’d love the story of a maid who worked her way up to be a concubine, only to end up on the losing side of history. Why can’t I have *that* instead of the ridiculousness I’m getting?)

Innocent Man. No closure on the thing the characters were fighting for all the time, also a drama about angst and revenge suddenly becomes fluff in the end? Why? Ghhh.Cruel City. Was it supposed to make us feel like idiots?Iljimae bc he’s been invincible the whole drama but then dies from a single messy swinging blow of a blunt sword towards his back?!?Madame Antoine. How the heck did she find the energy to still love and help him after all the shit he’s done to her. Park Shinhye and Yoon Shi Yoon in Flower Boy Next Door (around ep.10). So disappointing and lacking in any chemistry… I mean them actors did well INDIVIDUALLY and would be very convincing if there was, idk, a wall between them. (Not glass bc it could be way more sensual)

Doctor Stranger. After the first two episodes, I’d give it a 10/10. The following episodes kept disappointing me gradually in a steady pace.

Gong Hyo Jin was in a 2005 movie called Heaven's Army - its a historical comedy w/ some time travel, based in the Imjin War

So she has done at least one historical work! I’m not as up on Korean films as I am dramas, so I hadn’t heard of that one. Thanks for the heads-up!
